chipotle choices?

Hey! I'm going to chipotle tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone knew some healthy/ low calorie options? What do you order when you go? Any ideas?

I had the same question earlier this week.

I found the nutritional information at: http://www.chipotle.com/#flash/speak_faq

The first question is regarding nutritional information.  Download the PDF then build your item as you would in the store; counting as you go.

Sadly, the particular burrito that I used to order ended up being 1256 calories.

oh thanks so much! Wow, i'll try to stay away from that 1256 calorie burrito! I'm sure it was good though!

Hah! Oh yeah, it was good but I'm not sure it was worth the guilt I felt afterwards or the extra 30 minutes on the treadmill.  Lesson learned!

just do what i do! get something good and split it into 2-3 meals! :)
haha oh god! CHIPOTLE! i am eating tacos from there right now at the moment.

k so yeah its a pain trying to fit it into my daily calories, but i do it probably like 4 times a week. ya, its disgusting but its the place that my whole high school hangs out at. and plus its just amazing

so i get two tacos, and that ends up being around 600 calories, but im sure you could make it less because i get sour cream and cheese which adds most of those calories.

you can also get a salad which is pretty much a customizable salad, probably the most low cal option.

or, as tennis_aleena said, get a burrito, cut it in half and eat the rest later?

the easiest ways to cut out calories at chipotle would probably be to skip the rice, thats an extra 200-400 calories, and dont get sour cream or cheese, instead get salsa which is minimal calories, unless you get teh corn one, then its just as bad as sour cream.

Oh I get a salad from there with chicken and black beans only. Then instead of using their crusty dressing, I use the salsa. YUM Its around 350 cals.

If you want a calculator for chipotle, go to www.chipotlelovers.com Then you can see what your food narrows down to. It will also break it up into 2-3 servings if you half your burrito or whatever. Just know that tortilla has over 300 calories in it alone.

mmmm I love chipotle! I get a "burrito bol" with no sour cream or cheese, just chicken, a small amount of rice (otherwise they dump cups of it on there), mild tomato salsa, black beans, grilled peppers + onions, and lettuce. High on the veggies and protein, low on carbs and fat... and then try to eat only half!
"try" being the keyword there :) It's SO hard to only eat half. But with the salad, I get stuffed (i think my stomach shrank a ton since starting my diet) and I don't have to worry about avoiding half. :) mmm you guys make me want my salad!

Man.  I miss my pinto/cheese/sour cream burrito.

But I don't miss it 900 calories enough to eat it.

I typically go the salad route myself. Salad with spicy chicken, and ask them to add some of those peppers and onion to the salad. Mmmm.. :D It's good and filling, yes. :D
that place is great

You can go onto google, type in: Calories in Chipotle and it will bring you to a site that has Chipotle Nutrition info.

Sadly the burrito I used to eat has 1300 calories in it! But I haven't been to Chipotle since May. Not that I'm avoiding I just don't have the chance to. But If I ever do, I plan to get: Rice, lettuce, corn, pico de gayo and some hot sauce and eat it like a salad!

My choice is not to go.  I don't want to financially support places which are creating foods that are so outrageously toxic to people while pretending they are healthy.  BTW they are also owned by McDonalds our paragon on health foods in this country.  Same old stuff, (and I focus on stuffed) as they serve in huge, stupefying portions at their other restaurants.  I will avoid them and out them.
Oops
Oh no I guess that place is NOT so great after all! YIKES!!!

LoL toxic?

There is nothing toxic about chipotle. I work there, and have worked there for quite some time now. Everything is absolutely fresh and made daily from whole vegetables, tomatoes, onions, avocados, etc.  We only cook in soy oil, which is also the oil that is used to fry as well as used in the salad dressing. They are also no longer owned by McDonalds. That was used to get off the ground, as most tiny companies can not make it on their own without big money corporate backing.

I say this with absolutely no stock in the company and having been behind the scenes for quite some time, I STILL eat the food all the time and enjoy the fresh, quality food, as well as the option to have a gut-busting burrito or a waste-slimming salad!
