Cottage cheese.. any suggestions?

Quote  |  Reply

I just bought a container of fat free cottage cheese. I've never tried it before I bought this. It doesn't taste bad.. But it's not the best either. I would like to continue eating it since it's healthy. Any suggestions on how to make it taste better??

I used to hate cottage cheese, but as I got used to the texture, I've learned to love it!  I definately agree with soph_slump, add cinnamon!  It's amazing.  I like plain cinnamon, but I guess you can add cinnamon sugar if you like.  Cinnamon actually has lots of health benefits too (http://www.thehealthysnacksblog.com/2007/11/1 2/the-top-5-health-benefits-of-cinnamon/).

Some people like salt & pepper, but I don't.

Fruit mixed in is quite good as well (try dried fruit, fresh fruit, canned fruit or frozen fruit--they're all good!)

Nuts taste pretty good too (especially almonds, in my opinion)

I've heard of people mixing cottage cheese with yogurt to help adjust to the taste.

Like other have suggested, shaved chocolate or chocolate chips are good, too.

Granola or different cereals (I like special K) mixed in taste surprisingly good!

Just experiment--I'm sure you'll learn to love cottage cheese.

try adding cinnamon!  yum.

Everything is better with a little cinnamon!

I love cottage cheese:

On fruit

On veggie

In my oatmeal

On toast with jam

In a spinach salad

In a pasta salad
