Creatine while losing weight
Has anyone here supplemented creatine when attempting to lose weight? If so, how
have the results been for you?
I googled it and I get everything from (paraphrasing) 'It's more important to supplement creatine when losing weight' to 'Creatine will sabotage your weight loss'
So I'm wondering if anyone here can speak from personal experience, or who at
least knows of someone who tried it and how it worked out.

The reason I'm asking about this is, I decided to try a new protein because of the
price at Wal-Mart. Unfortunately, unlike every other protein drink I've seen that includes creatine, they completely hid it from the label. I guess it was a smart idea since I would not have purchased it if I had known there is creatine in it. (Body Fortress Whey Protein)
My boyfriend started using creatine a couple months ago and he also was on a diet. he stayed the same weight but only because he was losing fat while putting on muscle. You can see that hes lost fat and gained muscle throughout his whole body. But what he did was ate fruit every two hours of the day and ran/jogged a mile a day and got AMAZING results! I've never been more attracted to him than I am now. So I say that you should do the creatine (only after working out of course) and stick to a healthy diet. It really works.
some people use creatine to get an edge when bodybuilding. if you're not lifting weights, I don't see the point in using it. I lift weights, and I still don't see the point in using it.

I've used it before, but only when trying to gain. Judging from what you're saying it looks like it may still have the same effect even when losing (putting more water into muscles and giving them the appearane of being bigger)
I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.

From my experience with it, it seems to help with looks more than athletic ability. Pretty much every natural body builder uses it. I'm more curious about if it's a waste to use it when losing
Creatine helps to bulk up the muscles by drawing water into them. That would make me think that this would be counterintuitive to weight loss.
There has been a lot of research on creatine, and unless you're lacking the ability to create it on your own, then there isn't a lot of need to take it (aside from the above mentioned, appearance) and it can put pressure on your kidneys, cause acne, stomach cramps and bloating. I think it's always good to research the side effects to know if it's worth it.
You would be better off taking a good dose of Vitamins B, D, Potassium and Calcium to help boost energy! :)
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
