How much Crystal Light is too much?
I've been trying to up my water intake for a while now, I really struggle with getting enough fluids in throughout my day.
I bought a big water bottle (holds about a quart) and I started filling that up and trying to drink it twice a day. I was struggling even drinking it once, I'd usually only drink about half :(
So I bought some of those Crystal Light to go packets and I'm finding that using them is making drinking water much easier. I still haven't been drinking it twice a day, but I have no problem finishing one.
So...I end up using 2 packets a day. Is that too much?
I've pretty much cut out coffee, I do have an occasional tea.
I don't think it's too much. I have those nifty CL packets as well, when I feel the need to flavor my water. If it makes you drink more water, I think it's fine... though personally, it doesn't really quite quench my thirst like plain ol' water does.
Do you feel any side effects from drinking Crystal Light? If not, I suppose it's okay to just continue with what you're doing.
Tastes like chemical death, and makes me feel sick.
I used to drink it in my ED days to help stave off hunger. Blegh. I won't even touch the crap now.
Drink tea, and water instead. If you need a treat, add some citrus juice to seltzer water and a dash of stevia.
I haven't noticed any side effects. I mean...I'm peeing more because I'm drinking more in general, but that's about it.
I actually like the way it tastes, but I add more water to it than suggested, so it probably tastes a lot more watered down than it's supposed to.
Buy the Crystal Light Pure packets. They don't have anything artificial in them, and are sweetened with stevia. I drink them all the time and they taste a lot better than the regular crystal light stuff
I've been bringing a big thing of unsweetened tea with me. I know some people can't stomach the taste but i don't mind it, and it give my water some flavor.
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
