What did YOU eat today?
None of those pesky numbers, since we all are different.
One person can need 1400 a day, while another can need 2,500, and it can be really triggering to see someone ate a lower number than yourself.
Therefore, just list the food you ate. This will help us understand the value of eating healthy food (for the nutrients), while also indulging moderately in empty calories when we want. I don't know about you, but I'm aiming for 90% healthy foods - and 10% empty calories. ;)
Also, do not post here if you are starving yourself. I'm not interested in the details, it is only going to get others riled up, and it is triggering to those of us trying to recover from an eating disorder. Okay, thank-you.

I'm starting to get a bit embarrassed telling you guys what I eat and this is my own post! lol. I am the unhealthiest eater here. I'm a recovered anorexic though and I'm now an intuitive eater...I don't count calories, I don't plan my meals, I just eat whatever I want when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. It's very spontaneous and I love it. After years and years of regimented restrictive eating I finally feel free. This is how I personally have to eat to stay recovered and I maintain a BMI of 21 this way!
Also I hope it doesn't seem that I don't eat enough calories. I definitely do, but if I saw someone else post the same things I post I would be concerned. It's just that most of the food I eat is very high-cal and if I eat something low-cal I eat a large portion. As I said I don't count calories anymore but I'm sure I eat at least 1500 everyday.

MY Body Is A Cage-is that all you had today? what is the matter with you? unless the servings were humongous and it was a box of rice and like 5 tortiallas, i cant imagine the excuse youll give for this, really, like did you also have many snacks that for some reason you forgot to post?

we ran (drove) around a lot today so i didn't have a chance to eat three meals. i think i did pretty well for the alloted time and resources i had. my count came out to about 1400 for the two meals. i don't think that's crazy low. i'll probably have an apple and peanut butter a bit latter. that'll up it to, at least, 1600.
also, my servings usually are pretty big.
My Body is a cage-ok, i dont want to start a fight, who would, rt, but really, only if i REALLY overestimated portions and such could i see that.
i dont quite understand why ppl think they are the exceptions and dont need 2000, or more, to maintain their weight. pretty much, if youre at a healthy weight for your height, thats about how much you need, more if youre active, in order to maintain your weight.
B: french toast, maple syrup, fruit salad, 2 string cheeses
S: apple, strawberry yogurt
L: 2 grilled cheese sandwiches; pineapple slices
S: melted chocolate chips, cookie dough (made cookies)
D: 1 lemon herb chicken breast, tomato salad, pesto noodles, cauliflour
S: 2 skinny cow sandwiches

I disagree with you on this. Yes, I think that My Body is a cage might need to eat a few more calories unless they are big portions... if I ate 2000 calories a day I would gain weight. I need alot less than that to maintain. If I eat about 1500-1600/day I can maintain my weight. I eat 1200 a day plus exercise and am doing great with my weight loss and all my dr's are pleased with what I am doing.
I think eat person needs something different for caloried. My hubby can eat about 3000-3500 a day and maintain... must be nice. Everyone is different and it isnt right for you to judge someone. It depends on their activity level, body size, current weight and goals they have. For all you know her portion on brown rice was 3 servings. (that is what my husband would eat) and that is 600 cals right there.
Also wanted to say kudos to those who are in recovery from ED! I have been going strong for 15 years now, but you never know what might trigger that again. GREAT JOB and keep it up!

The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
