Even the pets Are getting Healthy

Quote  |  Reply

I just made my horse a "healthy" Spice cake for his Birthday! (Everyone enjoys seeing a 1500Lb animal wolf down a tasty treat)  Apple Sauce to replace Oil and egg whites only.  :)  It smells great so far.  I dont think he will miss the Fat.

Anyone have any other good pet recipes?

I didn't realize that egg whites were made of plant matter. Undecided

I would check with your local vet before feeding people food to your horse, particularly if you used a cake mix.  Probably a mixture of grains held together with a bit of honey or pureed fruit would be the healthiest option.

I used to cook a mash recipe for my horses. It smelled so good and they loved it.  I also cooked organ meats for the dogs.  Now I make peanut butter cookies for my four doggies.

3 cups whole wheat flour,   1 egg,   1/2 cup peanut butter,  1 stick butter, 3/4 cup water,  1/2 cup powdered milk.

Heat water and butter in microwave until melted.  Stir in rest of ingredients.  dough will be stiff.   You can roll into 1/2" balls and mash a bit with a fork to bake,  or roll out and make cookies.  I do the balls - less work.   Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes.  Cool.  Store in zip-lock in fridge.

I dont think horses eat eggs silly. :P give it sugar cubes. lol jkjk!
