Do you like the weight where you're at now? Yes.

What improvement in your diet have you made for this year so far? I am beginning to eat more fruits, drink more water than diet pop, and consume way lesser alcohol than last year!

What do you do for a workout? I walk to most places.

Do you have a weird personal 'belief' about food and its benefits? I really think that eating three huge meals a day makes me feel bloated, and I feel a lot better when I eat smaller meals a day that still give me the same amount of calories and make me feel less sluggish to go through my daily activity.

 

What is the most important meal of your day? Dinner!

How important is alcohol in your life? I don't think it's important in a way that I do not consume it every single day, but once a week, I do like to chill and enjoy a few delicious drinks with amazing food as a treat!!

What do you consume the most in general? Chicken, fries and vegetables. I track down my calories from time to time and it has always been chicken, fries and lots of green vegetables.

What is your ultimate favorite restaurant? What do you order from there? I'd say my favorite restaurant is The Capital Grille in Minnesota! I had the seared tenderloin and butter lobster, with the amazing mashed potatoes, and red wine! Can't wait to go there again soon.

Favorite childhood food? French fries, chicken porridge, potato chips.

How important is looking good and healthy to you? I'm definitely one of the vainest people ever. It's definitely very important for me to look after my body and my health and it makes it easy for me to eat well because I like wearing pretty clothes and never wanna outgrow them!

Are you 'elitist' when it comes to certain food? Yes! As a child, I used to eat Twix and enjoy eating regular confectionery but as I've grown into an adult, I shun most candies sold in convenience stores and opt for the higher quality products (or junk) like Godiva dark truffles/chocolates or go for hand-made, 'proper' chocolates to indulge on. Oh well!

What are your kind of comfort food? Mashed potatoes, steak, salmon, soups, fries, sushi!

Who is your role model when it comes to healthy-eating or just health, overall? My dad. I think he eats very well and even at the age of 52, he looks younger than his age, very trim and fit, and he doesn't eat junk at all.

What is your favorite fast food restaurant? McDonald's.

Are you 'elitist' when it comes to certain food? at times, but some times i tend to go for the junk i had as a little kid

Who is your role model when it comes to healthy-eating or just health, overall? MY MOMM. i seriously envy her for eating so normally and eating junk as well but staying slim and fit

What is your favorite fast food restaurant? chinese take out

Do you like the weight where you're at now? No, but I am only 5 or so pounds off the weight I like -- and it is easy for me to get those 5 pounds off.

What improvement in your diet have you made for this year so far? Well, I have been fairly consistent for over 2 and 1/2 years of eating a lot of fiber, whole wheat, fruits, veggies, lean meats, nuts, legumes, and fish.

What do you do for a workout? I walk a lot, spin a lot, and hopefully am getting back to light lifting and doing things like hanging abs and power station.

Do you have a weird personal 'belief' about food and its benefits? Weird?  Hmmmmmmm....well, I think 100% veggie diets are not usually particularly healthy.

What is the most important meal of your day? Dinner!

How important is alcohol in your life?  Since I love drinking dark beers and stouts, and cold frosties of even cheap beer, and since I love drinking white wine, I do enjoy drinking.  However, since alcohol can add a lot of unwanted calories and unless consumed in small dozes can be negative to consume, I try to refrain from drinking too often.  Lately, though, I have found the beer and wine too tempting, so am going off of it for a month or so until I get my weight back where I want it.

What do you consume the most in general?  whole wheat bread and wraps, fish, lean meats, veggies, fruits, nuts, and, I'll admit, too many sweets like homemead marshmall-cereal bars.

What is your ultimate favorite restaurant? What do you order from there? Well, I have only been there twice -- but the Yank Sing dim sum in San Francisco sure seemed like a good place to eat.

Favorite childhood food? buttered salted home-popped popcorn, hamburgers, peach pies

How important is looking good and healthy to you?  Since I am older than dirt, looking good is not the motivating reason I chose to diet and exercise.  However, I personally like looking at myself in the mirror when I am lifting or just got out of the shower to see if my belly is thin.  I hated having a pudgy belly with rolls on the side. 

Are you 'elitist' when it comes to certain food?  I absolutely love whole wheat flour and if I had my weigh, all restaurants would give one the choice of choosing whole wheat pizza crust, bread, doughnuts, cookies, muffins, pancakes, etc.

What are your kind of comfort food? Chips, crackers, dips/spreads such as Laughing Cow and hummus.

Who is your role model when it comes to healthy-eating or just health, overall?  Actually, I guess I am my own role model, because I went on my diet/exercise campaign based on not wanting to take blood pressure and cholesterol medication and wanting to lose my larger belly. I didn't look for anyone else for inspiration. I admire my younger daughter because she is the same weight as when she was a freshman in college.  She runs most days of the week and lifts 3-4 days a week.

What is your favorite fast food restaurant? Popeye's for unhealthy and Subway for healthy.

What improvement in your diet have you made for this year so far? I have cut the amount of meat I consume by half. Understanding its calorie count helped me realize that I need less to satisfy my meat-cravings.)

What do you do for a workout? I walk a lot. I jog on weekends whenever the weather is fine and I'm in the mood, these two factors coinciding not as often as is desirable.)

Do you have a weird personal 'belief' about food and its benefits? When I was a kid, I've read somewhere that in ancient times people used to carry a pinch of soil from their home town/village when traveling, as it was supposed to protect them against trouble. For some reason it impressed me greatly. So now, as a grown-up and not a superstitious person at all, I always prefer locally grown/harvested foods. And my reasoning is not about it being fresher or better in any other way, but that they come from the soil of my home town. I guess that's a belief weird enough :D

What is the most important meal of your day? Dinner.

How important is alcohol in your life? Not important at all. The only kind of alcohol that I actually want occasionally is cider, but that happens maybe a couple of times a year.

What do you consume the most in general? Grains and dairy products. There's such a huge variety of these in the Eastern European cuisines that I eat them in one form or another every day.

What is your ultimate favorite restaurant? What do you order from there? It's the local coffee house chain, Bulanzhe. They have a lot of delicious stuff, but I always end up ordering their magnificent cakes X)

Favorite childhood food? Potato chips.

How important is looking good and healthy to you? I find it difficult to enjoy anything much if I'm not happy with how I look or, worse, if I don't feel good.

Are you 'elitist' when it comes to certain food? Yes. I'm especially snobbish when it's about chocolate, tea or cheese.

What are your kind of comfort food? Home made sponge cakes. The preparation actually brings more comfort that the consumption :)

Who is your role model when it comes to healthy-eating or just health, overall? Probably my mom. She has always been eating healthy just by intuition, and she has always had a critical view of most severely and ridiculously restrictive diets, thus cultivating the same in me. Due to her supportiveness, she's actually my healthy-eating buddy as well :)

What is your favorite fast food restaurant? The local pancake shop chain.



Do you like the weight where you're at now? it's alittle lower than it ought to be. But i'm working on it. 

What improvement in your diet have you made for this year so far? eating more variety and trying foods that I restricted myself from 

What do you do for a workout? I walk an hour a day and do strength training most days. 

Do you have a weird personal 'belief' about food and its benefits? I used to have very weird personal beliefs of food and the fact that it was evil lol. Now I just believe that moderation and variation are key to being healthy and happy.

How important is alcohol in your life? it's not at all. 

What do you consume the most in general? it changes everyday and I have several small meals everyday that I try to vary as much as possible 

What is your ultimate favorite restaurant? What do you order from there? I don't really eat out alot but I like seafood resturants and I adore shrimp 

Favorite childhood food? cereal! I loved mini wheats.

How important is looking good and healthy to you? Being healthy is extremely important to me now, however I used to be obsessed with looking good even though I looked really sickly at the time. 

Are you 'elitist' when it comes to certain food? I used to be. I would shun almost every food and I would feel superior when i didn't eat. It was dumb. Now i see all foods as important and able to part of a healthy diet 

What are your kind of comfort food? chili or oatmeal with cinnamon 

Who is your role model when it comes to healthy-eating or just health, overall? My aunt. She owns her own farm and grows all her own vegetables, has a cow that provides fresh milk and chickens that provide eggs. She always cooks beautiful healthful meals and puts in the best fresh ingredients. she gets exercise everyday and is extremely healthy. 

What is your favorite fast food restaurant? I avoid them alot but lately I've tried some fast food again and wendy's chili is pretty good. 



Do you like the weight where you're at now? i dont know...i need to gain weight...


What improvement in your diet have you made for this year so far? this year...well i decided to reintroduce chicken and fish into my diet...i was vegetarian for 3 years up to this past October + i eat more dairy products. 

What do you do for a workout? i'm not aloud to exercise right now, but i suppose walking and shopping count ;) 

Do you have a weird personal 'belief' about food and its benefits? I think you should eat to live not live to eat...food should be fuel and nourishment, BUT i also think food should be something that brings people together and one should enjoy what they eat....I also think (for me atleast) that the food is a sort of medicine & the nutrients in each thing i eat is quite important to me. 

 What is the most important meal of your day? BREAKFAST! duh ;P 

How important is alcohol in your life? not important at all...only drink on special occasions..but i just turned 21, so now i can drink when out with friends and such! :) 

What do you consume the most in general? the most frequently eaten foods in my diet are probably oatmeal, greek yogurt, berries, banana's, raw almonds, organic  Peanut butter, cashew butter, unsalted cottage cheese, chicken, spinach...(ALL veggies pretty much!!) + black coffee if that counts ;P 

What is your ultimate favorite restaurant? What do you order from there? Idk, i have a few favorites! But i always go back to The Hampton Chutney in New York...i love the dosa (Indian style savory crepe) with caramelized onions, portabello mushrooms, arugla & melty goat cheese w/ their mango chutney! SO good :) 

Favorite childhood food? #1 definitely Annie's organic Mac n' cheese, I would add sauteed spinach to mine or peas...i was an odd child who Loved my veggies! ;) i loved porridge w/ cream, maple syrup & raisins. my mom's homemade millet corn muffins...warm homemade bread w/ butter. spinach & cheese tortellini. strawberry ice cream w/ rainbow sprinkles..

How important is looking good and healthy to you? idk...having anorexia it's quite a contradiction, i want to look "good" but i dont know what looking good is, when i'm under weight i think i look good and i fear looking healthy...ugh :/

Are you 'elitist' when it comes to certain food? yea i guess so...i prefer to eat organic, natural, fresh & unprocessed foods...I never eat fast food, candy or processed 'junk' ...i only/most always buy organic foods and produce..But it's not to the extreme, i would be ok if i ate something that wasn't organic..it's just my preference. 

What are your kind of comfort food? oatmeal!  roasted squash. carrot ginger soup & lentil soup...extra toasted Ezekiel bread with nut butter. 

Who is your role model when it comes to healthy-eating or just health, overall? my friend who has NO eating disorder whatsoever...she is thin but healthy and eats what she wants and never deprives herself of anything.

What is your favorite fast food restaurant? umm...panera bread and Au bon Pain.

How important is alcohol in your life? I wouldn't say it's important but it's enjoyable to relax and have a couple drinks every now and again with friends/family

Don't think it's weird to believe that it's probably healthier to cut back on sugar and salt, mostly stay out of restaurants and avoid boxed foods.  Probably my weirdest belief is that we'd all be a lot better off if we turned off the TV set and left it off.

What is the most important meal of your day? I love them all.  I'm especially eager for breakfast however.

How important is alcohol in your life? Don't drink much; I'd rather eat my calories

How important is looking good and healthy to you? It doesn't matter so much that you 'look good' more as that you are healthy, in my opinion. If you love your body the way it is, you look good.

What do you consume the most in general? i make sure i have protein in every meal either through meat, eggs, dairy, fish, pulses ect. i love protein and it speeds your metabolism, even if it's cheese.

What is your ultimate favorite restaurant? What do you order from there? I'd say my favorite restaurant is taybarns buffet or the indian take-away near my house where i always have tandoori chicken starter and k-naan.

Favorite childhood food? so many! the naughties were ice buns and milky stars. plates of calamari- i loved.Also, pasta with ketchup.

How important is looking good and healthy to you? I used to have an ED so it was very important to me before to have a perfect body image, now i dont really give too much importance like i used to, but i drink alot of water to flush out toxins and helps my skin.

Are you 'elitist' when it comes to certain food? i never used to take notice of brands but now im taking a loving to Tesco finest white chocolate chunk cookies, and sainsburies taste the difference products! this is from someone who used to buy everything economy.

What are your kind of comfort food? biscuits and cereal.

What do you do for a workout? Elliptical Trainer, 101 minutes & Pilates, 1 to 2 days a week.

Do you have a weird personal 'belief' about food and its benefits? Yes! When I eat veggies and fish I know my body is thanking me! (Unless of course I am secretly allergic, then my body HATES ME! ha ha).

Do you have a weird personal 'belief' about food and its benefits? I believe that a lot of people actually under-eat, and if you eat more of healthy foods like fats, complex carbs, and lean protein, you can boost your metabolism and everyone should be able to eat 2000+ calories.

How important is looking good and healthy to you? I'm very self-conscious about how I look.  It causes a lot of anxiety.

Are you 'elitist' when it comes to certain food? Apples.  I love apples, but I'm very picky, and I'm an expert on all the different varieties.

What are your kind of comfort food? healthy and somewhat sweet (e.g. hot oatmeal with mashed bananas, baked winter squash, sweet potatoes, yogurt, homemade applesauce, pumpkin soup, etc.)

Who is your role model when it comes to healthy-eating or just health, overall? My mother.  She's healthy, slim, and has never had an eating disorder.  She eats treats in moderation.  She doesn't count calories.  She just eats intuitively and stays active and healthy.

What is your favorite fast food restaurant? Does Starbucks count?  I don't really eat fast food.



Do you like the weight where you're at now? I never like the weight I'm at, I have an ED.  I have to learn to accept it although I'm still less than halfway done gaining.

What improvement in your diet have you made for this year so far? Since coming IP I've stopped drinking, stopped throwing up, and am eating 3000+ of all food groups including fruit and veg as well as 'junk' food.

What do you do for a workout? I'm not allowed at the moment.  When I come off one-to-one observation I'll be allowed my 30min walk a day back.

Do you have a weird personal 'belief' about food and its benefits? I think that what works best varies from person to person and people need to find what works best for them and is SUSTAINABLE - ie 3 big meals, 6-8 mini meals, low carb, low fat, 100-calorie packs...  It doesn't have to be what's typical - but, it CAN'T be EXTREME and MUST be flexible to be healthy.

What is the most important meal of your day? Lunch is the biggest meal of the day here.

How important is alcohol in your life? Incredibly.  It has killed me giving it up and I have no idea how I'd manage to maintain the changes I've made with it when I'm freed.

What do you consume the most in general? Weetabix and m!lk, daily!  I eat a lot of chicken too.

What is your ultimate favorite restaurant? What do you order from there? I haven't ordered what I've WANTED in a long, long time...  I can't answer this one yet.

How important is looking good and healthy to you? It's a big issue that needs challenging - I really struggle with not looking emaciated.

Are you 'elitist' when it comes to certain food? Noooooooo.  The best chocolate is for the most part cheap chocolate!  Some things I AM snobby about, and I like a lot of 'gourmet' foods, but I also like a lot of cheap rubbish.  DRINKS however...  *coffee, red wine and whiskey snob*

What are your kind of comfort food? Things on toast (honey, scrambled eggs, cheese etc), porridge, hot m!lk, weetabix and m!lk, steamed sponge puddings with custard. 

Who is your role model when it comes to healthy-eating or just health, overall? One of the nurses here who really likes her food (albeit in weird combinations at times!) and eats a lot of it, but never more than she WANTS, and is a healthy weight.

What is your favorite fast food restaurant? Subwayyy.  I like Oporto too, we need more of those here!

Do you like the weight where you're at now? I like the weight, but my stomach looks horrible without a shirt over it haha. I have to suck it up though, it's my own fault that I hardly exercise anymore >.<

What improvement in your diet have you made for this year so far? I've managed to include a few more grams of healthy fat... stupid gallbladder problems ;_;

What do you do for a workout? I love dancing and walk just about everywhere but other than that I really don't workout at all.

Do you have a weird personal 'belief' about food and its benefits? It's not really that weird, but I place a lot of emphasis on having a lot of raw fruit and veg in my diet.

What is the most important meal of your day? Breakfast.

How important is alcohol in your life? It's not important, just fun once in a while. I don't waste the calories on it unless I intend on getting drunk though. Honestly I'd rather have herb ;)

What do you consume the most in general? Fruit and protein.

What is your ultimate favorite restaurant? What do you order from there? I don't like restaurants. I've always found it awkward eating in public... probably a leftover ED thing from back when.

How important is looking good and healthy to you? Very, at least when it comes to what I look like with clothes on haha. I'm definitely not the type to obsess over having a round butt or washboard stomach.

What improvement in your diet have you made for this year so far? More balanced, higher protein, no delicious frozen processed food or boxed good, no cake/cookies/etc. No HFCS

What improvement in your diet have you made for this year so far? I Stripped off non-vej from my diet, on weekdays i eat home cooked vegetarian food, weekends are my cheat days. Now i take reduced portion of my diet, plus i try to avoid sugar, fried stuff and cheese.

What do you do for a workout? I jog for 5 kms for 4-5 days a week, and i play Badminton doubles for 1-1.5 Hour hour a week.

Do you have a weird personal 'belief' about food and its benefits? Yup, its simple, workout in the day and take small meals to boost metabolism.

What do you do for a workout? I love running when it is not 100 degrees as it has been lately. I also love workout dvd's and do the elliptical and free weights.

Do you have a weird personal 'belief' about food and its benefits? Not really a weird belief but I am a believer in eating small meals of snacks throughout the day. I eat every 3 hours normally and it works for me and keeps me from getting to hungry! Keeps the metabolism going all day :)

How important is alcohol in your life? It isn't important at all but I do drink on the weekends and like to have fun with my friends and have a couple drinks or glasses of wine during the week but if I couldn't do that I wouldn't feel deprived or anything!

What is your ultimate favorite restaurant? What do you order from there? Xochimilco's in Mexican Town in Detroit! best mexican food ever, I order tacos, enchiladas, etc. etc. etc.

How important is looking good and healthy to you? It is very important to me to look and feel good. When I look good I feel healthy and by eating healthy I look good...it goes hand in hand :)

My boyfriend eats very healthy and has a lot of self control and what not due to health issues and not being able to eat a lot of foods, etc. I really admire him for sticking to it all because I know I would have a hard time giving up some things!

What is your favorite fast food restaurant? Taco Bell even though I don't remember the last time I ate there and most likely I had been drinking!

Every female on my mom's side over fifty is diabetic and the younger women are all either slightly overweight to morbidly obese. My dad's side is thin, but has a strong cancer gene. I feel like its a fight against genetics.
