Hungry Girl Tip
If breakfast is the
most important meal of the day, why shouldn't we be allowed to double
up once in a while? Put away the sugar pops, though, sweet tooth. The
next time you're looking for something substantial to fill up on
between meals, a bowl of Kashi GoLean cereal will do the trick. The
lightly sweetened, puffed cereal doesn't taste like those high fiber
twigs you've tried so hard to swallow in the mornings. But one cup does
have 10g of fiber and 13g of protein and just 140 calories and 1g of
fat (add 85 calories for one cup of skim milk). Improve it with some
fruit, and you'll be even more bright-eyed and bushy-tailed than you
were at 9am...

well, i think breakfast is the most impotant meal of the day because of
when it is, not what it is that you eat during breakfast. i think the
idea is that you jump-start your metabolism from the get-go. but you're
right that koshi is healthy any time of the day...

That's my favorite cereal. If I don't have it for breakfast then I have a bowl or a half a bowl for my evening snack. I like that protein boost.
i agree! i love that cereal!!
Golean cereal... I call it my human kibble n bits. I use it on my chicken mandarin salad for crunch. I eat it mixed with fruit and cottage cheese too or with jello. Just a 1/4 cup adds lots of crunch and it doesn't get soggy in milk either... well at least not very quickly.
I look for that next time i go shopping :)
It's sooooo yummy!! I bring a little baggie to work and pull out the bigger chunks as a snack and then dump what's left into my yogurt at lunch. I'm was actually eating it when I found this thread. lol
Ive been looking for some good snack foods, Ill check this out..Thanks
haha, so I'm not the only one that thinks it looks like Kibbles N Bits! I thought the exact same thing when I bought the Calorie-watcher's version--personally, I like the original GoLean Crunch better, it's a little sweeter, but it's also nearly double the calories--not bad for a larger meal or a big breakfast, but a cup of the calorie-watchers, eaten dry, is the best filler in the world! I love it!
My friend calls it "bark and twigs" and won't even try it, the dope!
claire-at least you dont' have to share yours then! XD
i find kashi disgusting...i usually eat fruit in the morning with oatmeal or toast with juice or milk.....pretty much whatever im in the mood for.
