I want a milkshake soooo bad right now but obviously am uncomfortable with the effect it could do to me... Any tricks or tips? It's specifically a milkshake. Usually I just eat it and then start binging and I really dont want that to happen cause I dont wanna gain weight... Any ideas?
Try finding healthy low Cals milkshake recipes and try them out. Not all milkshakes are bad, specially if they are homemade since you can control what's in it.
Try blending some almond milk with cocoa powder and a banana. Add some whey protein too if you want. Om nom nom. Or peanut butter and the banana with almond milk and cinnamon.
My personal opinion is that if you're craving a real, genuine, "triple thick" milkshake, a banana blended with protein powder and almond milk will NOT cut it. It is NOT the same!!!
I recommend you go out, get yourself a small (or kids) size, and enjoy. One milkshake won't kill you, but it will satisfy your craving. It's already portioned out, so you can't over indulge. You can even be "extra good" that day if you're feeling guilty! Which you shouldn't, because it's just a bloody milkshake, and you deserve to be happy :)
If you think that you can contain the future cravings with it then I agree with Izzyy23.
I haven't stopped eating the things I like, I just began to control how often I eat them and try to keep it within my daily Calories. For example, I sometimes have one Happy Meal a month just to taste their cheeseburger and fries, it's still more Cals than what I should eat in one meal but yummy! One day in many doesn't harm. :)
ya i would get the milk shake, u now what i loved ... those small coffee flavored onesfrom arbys, but i dont eat them any more, but if i was really craving it i would go for it...
i found if you really want something specific and its not everyday, go ahead and have the real thing, i wuld "eat around" what i really wanted and end up eating more of what i actually did not want in the first place
my only exception is often with cheese or peanut butter i can have this with fruit and leave out the bread ifi am craving a pb and j or a cheese sandwich
like turns out i dont like french fries, i really dont but i do like potatoes with ketchup, so i make that and that satisfies my craving, i think alot of people dont actually think about the craving, if u have the milkshake craving often, think what you are really enjoying from it and find a sub, like a protein shake or yogurt drink
maybe you could settle for a float? :) like diet coke, diet root beer etc. with a scoop or 2 of fat-free vanilla ice cream? you could even use juice in place of the soda!
Maybe just get a minature mcflurry or blizzard? The mini ones only have about 300 calories. For me, a low calorie replacement NEVER curbs my craving...I have to have a small serving of the real thing.
Hi, There is a shake that is nutritional and filling. It tastes like nothing out their. Low calories and pure protein.
