.
1) I would love that -- but the greek yogurt would have to be only a bit. I would definitely try it.
2) hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...I would soak the salmon overnight in milk. This would get rid of any "fishy" taste for any guests who claim salmon has a fishy taste. I would then pad {with a cloth} the salmon so the milk was removed. I would put some sliced apple, red pepper flakes, black pepper, garlic, honey, and a bit of teriyaki and/or Worcestershire sauce into a blender and puree. I would grill or broil the salmon fillets, turning once. After I turned them, I would put on the fillets the apple marinade and grill or broil for the last 2 minutes until they were done.
3) pita pockets, fennel, pasta of your choice
Hmm I would definately try that! It sounds like a really interesting combination...Not soo sure about soaking the fish in milk though..lol that sounds kinda sick, but I think I might actually like the whole thing..:)
Ok, I never heard of fennel before, but I just looked it up and its an herb so I can work with that...Not sure what it tastes like, soo I may be way of with my creation, but I'll give it a shot..:)
I would cook my rigatoni pasta. On the side I would sautee shrimp, red peppers, red onions, and mushrooms in olive oil with fennel, garlic, and chives..Then after it cooked I would make a creamy sauce out of butter, milk, and parmesean cheese and mix in the noodles, the vegetables, and the spices. I would grill the pita on the side with garlic butter and eat it all together..:)
apple cider vinegar, tunafish, canned mushrooms
im sorry but i just hate mushrooms! :P
erm, can apple cider vinegar act like balsamic? if so id scoop of the portableo (those are the big ones right?) mushrrom ineers, soak(or marinate whatever the term is) them in the cider vinegar. I would then combine the tuna, parmesan, veggies, the inner mushroom..bits, bit of EVOO, season, stuff into mushrooms and bake, stuffed mushrooms!
btw,,,,i hate mushrooms :P
cheerios, marshmellows, white chocolate
I love love love love eating mushrooms -- many different kinds.
1) I would definitely eat that.
2) Well, since I have made something very similar to using those 3 ingredients, I would do this. I would put 6 cups of cheerios into a gallon zip lock bag and slightly crush them so they were not so large. And I would put them into a large mixing bowl. Then I would melt 10.6 ounces of marshmallows in the microwave, first melting a couple tablespoons of margarine in the microwave-safe bowl. I would stir the melted marshmallows down to make it creamy, and then return the mixture to the microwave to heat a few more seconds. I would add 1 cup of white chocolate pieces to the slightly crumbled cheerios (btw, if you don't want to crumble them, don't) and blend them. Then I would pour the marshmallow cream in and mix things up. I would use a greased spatula to press the mixture down into a glass baking dish and refrigerate for an hour or two.
3) Valveeta cheese, spicy tomatoes or sauce of your choice, Multi-grain wraps
I would definitley try it if i could eat marshmellows :P
okay so i'd bake some chicken breast and cover it in the mayo and put it in the wrap with whole a mushed avocado and spinach leaves and salmon, drizzle in evoo and grated valveeta cheese on the side with spicy tomatoes.
avocado, prawns, chickpeas
beth- girl you are CRAZYYYYYYY:p ♥ I LOVEE mushrooms! lol
shane-i have to agree, all mushrooms are awesomee! except the poisonous kindd..lol ;p
Ugh sorry I would not eat that..lol number one I hate mayo unless its on an egg sandwich type thing in which case its ok...number two velveta and avacado are gross together in my opinion lol and number 3 if the tomatoes are raw I would hate it because I despise raw tomatoes..;p
kayy soo I would grill the prawns and chickpeas in olive oil with green onions and red bell pepper and mushrooms-beth- (if you're answering this you can pick the mushrooms out..:p ) then I would lightly toast a tortilla in a bit of butter in a second pan and I would spread the tortilla with guacamole- (made out of my avacado)) and a bit of sour cream and then I would throw in my sauteed mixture and sprinkle it all with a bit of sharp cheddar cheese, roll up the tortilla, and serve..:)
Hamburger, mango, vanilla wafers?
haha stargirl i hate them :P
yaaaaaaay i can take out the mushrooms! in that case id eat that! :)
Im place the hamburger(can be veggie for the veggies) on a burger bun, with some fried onions and a slice of cheese, and make a mango chuckney with the mangos and spread on some of that, i cant think of how to combine the vanilla wafers into that :P So i would make an ice cream sundae with a mango sorbet, fresh raspberries, and vanilla waffers and have that as dessert.
banana, bakery pastry of choice, nutella?
lolllllllll:) I would totally eat that! :) especially the ice cream sundae! Sounds super good!! :)
Kayy I'm gonna make this simplee I would take banana bread as my pastry, and I would spread it lightly with nutella top it with sliced banana:)
white chocolate, chicken, peaches?
nom nom nom nom nom...
I looked at yours a thought "Well I have no idea". White chocolate and peaches standard - dip slices of peach in melted chocolate, fridge then enjoy.
But that leaves chicken. So I'd make a chicken dinner and have peaches for dessert. So I'm make a lovely moroccan couscous with almonds and chickpeas and apricots and raisins cooked in fresh orange juice with cinnamon, paprika, cumin and nutmeg with a few cloves thrown in. I'd coat the chicken in olive oil and harissa then bbq it so it was smokey and spicey and have with a big salad. That is the best way to have chicken I think. Then follow it with peaches.
Not that inventive but Oh well...
Food in my cupboard I'm not sure what to do with:
- leeks; chickpeas and sandwhich thins x.
lollllll i like to make them tough!! ;p That actuallly sounds REALLY good though!! The whole thing! dinner and dessert! So I would totally eat that..:)
And okkk I would take the leeks and chickpeas and make a stirfry with wild rice, mushrooms (beth-pick the mushrooms out:p), bell peppers mixed, green onion, and cabbage, and I would sautee it all in olive oil with a bit of garlic, black pepper, basil, and cayanne. I would take the sandwich thin on the side and rub it in a bit of garlic butter, and sprikle it in motzerella cheese and bake it till golden brown and eat it on the side of my stirfry..:)
sweet potato, sundried tomatoes, peanut butter?
- Ooh, that sounds delicious stargirl. I'd definitely try it.
- I'd bake the sweet potato and stuff it with raisins, brown sugar, melted peanut butter, honey, and chopped pecans. On the side, I'd prepare a spinach salad with an oil and vinegar dressing, goat cheese, and sun dried tomatoes.
- maple syrup, sunflower seeds, tofu
1. yes, most definitely.
2. i would puree the tofu with vanilla soy milk...add in maple syrup for sweetness. Creating a mousse. Then I would roast an acorn squash with cinnamon and brown sugar...fill it with the mousse and top it with toasted sunflower seeds and drizzle with maple syrup.
3. oatmeal. applesauce. walnuts.
- Definitely yum! That sounds deliciously creative. :)
- I would make apple cinnamon muffins with chopped apples, raisins, and applesauce added to the batter for moistness. In a separate bowl, I would mix the oatmeal with brown sugar, chopped walnuts, vanilla extract, and butter. I would sprinkle this on top of the muffins (before baking) as a crumb topping. Then I would bake it all in the oven so it gets nice and crisp on top.
- hot cocoa mix, caramel, flour
1. oh wow. yes. you should be a chef. haha.
2. i would mix the hot cocoa mix with the flour....and add in baking powder, eggs, a bit of sugar...and make chocolate pancakes. i'd top them with bananas and caramel! :)
3. lemonade. cookies of your choice. nutella.
- Thanks chrissy! :) Definitely yum for the pancakes!
- I'd crush up nilla wafers and make them into a pie crust (sort of like graham cracker crust). Then I'd make a cheesecake batter and add some lemonade and grated lemon peel to give it a lemon flavor. I'd pour this into the pie crust and bake it. Finally, I'd mix 1:1 nutella and cream cheese frosting to make a chocolate frosting for the cheesecake. I'd spread it on top and serve cold.
- cashews, strawberries, black beans
1. yes I'd eat it!
2. black bean brownies. I'd then crumble them over a bowl of vanilla ice cream...top with strawberries, honey roasted cashews, and whipped cream.
3. tomatoes. zucchini. garbanzo beans.
- Yum!
- First I'd chop and lightly steam the zucchini so that it's slightly tender (but not mushy). Then I'd cook some couscous and toss it with the zucchini, cherry tomatoes, garbanzo beans, dill weed, and olive oil. I'd top it off with feta cheese. I'd chill it in the refrigerator and serve as a cold couscous salad. I'd also make hummus from the garbanzo beans and serve it with pita chips on the side.
- Blueberries, cream cheese, honey
1. yes if it was warm. I can't stand cold pasta salads type things.
2. i would make blueberry waffles...then I'd mix the cream cheese with honey and spread it on the waffles and top with blueberry compote (blueberries cooked in sugar).
3. chicken breast. oranges. potatoes.
That sounds really rich.. but I would definately try it because it sounds yummy all the same! :)chrissys right lol adrienne you should be a chef, but chrissy, you should too! You both come up with some AWESOMELY CREATIVE ideas lol:)
I would grill my chicken in olive oil with some grated orange peel, some lemon juice, cayanne, and red bell peppers to give it a citrusy flavor...I would take my potatoes and mash them with a bit of parsley and butter and serve them as a side to my chicken..Finally I would grill up some zuccini and yellow squash with onions in olive oil with a bit of garlic. I would use the rest of my orange to make a smoothie with peach and mango to drink.:)
Banana, cinnamon raisin bread, mayonaise?
1. if it was chik-N haha. totally would! :)
2. i would make cinnamon raisin/banana muffins. I would first soak the raisin bread in vanilla soy milk...and then mash it into a paste, add in flour, brown sugar, baking powder and then...add the mayonnaise in the batter for texture/fat...it can replace eggs. Then I'd puree the banana and add that in as well. The mayo won't even be detectable at all actually. I'd toast some walnuts...add those in for healthy fat and texture. Bake and serve with vanilla yogurt drizzled with honey.
3. avocado. peanut butter. rice.
