Last night, I had pizza with ketchup as dipping sauce. And than I proceeded to eat my 'side salad' (haha my attempts to make the bad meal seem a bit healthier) with ketchup as well. Sorry if thats grossing anyone out lol!! But it was just soo dry and bland w/out it.
I also eat ketchup with chicken and lots of other foods.
I figured its only 15 calories for tbsp (is that really RIGHT? :o not bad!! considering some bbq sauces have like 40 calories per tbsp)
Last week I actually measured how much ketchup I had one day w/ a meal it was close to 200 calories! Yikes!
So be careful with it - a tablespoon can be deceiving!
and then i realied that ONE tablespoon is very deceiving haha
it does have 4grams of sugar PER tablespoon which is kind of alot also.. so now i have to watch my ketchup intake:( haha
but yeah.. i actually had ketchup with pizza last night too!
its soo good with
tuna, pizza, turkey sandwhiches, any kind of sandwhich for that matter, chips, lasagna, breadsticks, chicken, any kind of meat
haha basically anything thats edible is great with ketchup:)

Organic ketchup has about double the antioxidants of conventional ketchup.

Just be careful because ketchup has TONS of sodium in it.
Like anything, moderation is the key :)
I love ketchup and BBQ Sauce but i stopped eating them cuz of so much calories!
I eat mustard now it's a lot safer!
maybe you guys already know about heinz 1 carb ketchup and just prefer regular, but just in case: http://www.lowcarbfreedom.com/2004/05/heinz_o ne_carb_.html
this page lists some "no sugar added" ketchups http://www.dietaryneedsdirect.co.uk/cnb/shop/ dietaryneedsdirect?op=catalogue-products-null &prodCategoryID=65
or make your own low carb ketchup! http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/5/Low_C arb_Ketchup6658.shtml
maybe now you can dab just a bit more on your burger (or salad, depending on personal preference, apparently) :)
or i dunno, is that considered high for sauces?? It tastes like much more!! lol so i guess its all good
And I love all the alternative ideas for ketchup (organic, low carb, no sugar, etc) but I use ketchup when I eat out (which is every single meal cause I live at school) and I just use what they give me (ie. the little packets or the ones from a big container)
It would be nice if they had options for ketchup though... haha maybe in another world, or universe.
I like grainy mustards myself.. No calories and lotta flavor.
Like with all things diet related.. plan your meals..pre-measure your ketchup serving(s) and stick to it. As kristenbutt stated above, when you actually measure how much you take (without counting) it can add up!!
Be cautious with portion sizes! ha-rumpf!
Really? 200 calories of ketchup is almost a full cup! Thats alotta ketchup.
It's only when I bake sweet potato french fries I use that much... anything else I use less..... although not by much...
Is there a 12-step 'quit ketchup' program?
"In order to qualify as U.S. No 1 Grade, Ketchup cannot exceed 30 fruit fly eggs per 100 grams"
Enjoy that added protein in your contaminated ketchup! (of course, I avoid reading about what contaminates my favorite foods!) LOL ;-)

Wondering the same thing as Phoenix121: Does it taste ok?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
