What kinds of fruit are really good to eat frozen?

I know that grapes are really good to freeze and eat them as a snack. I also just found out that banana's are also good to eat frozen. I didn't know this and I still need to try it.

I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas or have tried any other kind of frozen fruit?

I need to find healthy snack choices that involves fruit.

mango, pineapple, grapes and peaches....strawberries are too tart frozen

Blueberries!!! I LOVE them. I buy them in a huge bag. They are pricey but they last a long time and make a great low calorie/ high fiber snack. So, I don't think they are that expensive when you eat them this way.  I just munch on a cup of them like candy. Only 79 calories. Smile

1. Berries 2. Mangos 3. Bananers 4. Watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew 5. Any fruit that is really juicy 6. Pomegranate seeds
I've only had what you already mentioned, bananas and grapes, but I seriously LOVE THEM. haha they're great frozen.

and also, I know this totally doesn't count, but freezing little fat free/sugar free pudding cups is amazing. it tastes great and it takes me so much longer to eat them than it would if they were just plain refrigerated. lol just wanted to throw that out there (:

I love Frozen Raspberries.

Just had a half cup on cool whip and a caramel rice cake!!!! OH SOOO GOOD

If you are looking for at home snacks that involve fruit and have a blender do a smoothie-

My favorite, Pineapple, Nectarine, Raspberries. Put in a glass (don't stuff it full) then dump it into the blender, fill the same glass with ice, dump into blender. Makes just enough to fill the glass you used for measuring- the most calories I have blended up with fruit is 136 and it keeps you SO full!

Mmmmm this has made me crave some fruits now! :)

Thanks so everyone who have given me amazing ideas to do healthy fruity snacks! I am going to have to try them all out!

Oh by the way I love smoothies! Thanks mamamoosh! I am defiantly going to try that smoothie recipe you just gave me!

fallingupstairs: I know about the little pudding cups and freezing them already but thanks for mentioning them! It will help others out. They are so so good aren't they! :D Thanks for posting!

Anyone who has anymore ideas for perhaps smoothies or fruits please post. It will help all of us with ideas for healthy snacks!

How long do they keep in the frozen?  Do I need to do anything special besides cutting and bagging before throwing them in the frozen to help they stay fresh longer?

blueberries!!

I love taking half a cup of frozen blueberries and adding it to my yoghurt :]

Now this is RIGHT up my alley!  I love frozen fruit. Especially here in Florida where the summers are so hot and humid.  It's so refreshing to go to the freezer and find these all bagged up nicely like a frozen fruit garden of colors. Try these:

Pineapple

Strawberries

Kiwis

Watermelon

Apples

Just to name a few. Here is also a refreshing summer recipe.

Frozen Tropical Fruit Smoothie

Sorry...been on the go and haven't had time to post a pic yet.

Frozen blueberries in yogurt is a great idea.  I like to pour a little milk over my frozen berries and stir.  The milk freezes to the surface of the berries, turning them into little white balls, and making them fun to eat.

Mixing together a cup of sliced frozen strawberries and 1/2-1 cup of frozen blueberries is DELCIOUS. It's cold so it takes a while to eat, and it's naturally sweet and full of nutrition. You could even toss it with a few teaspoons of Splenda.
