how to make coconut butter at home?
Does anyone know how to make it? I spent hours looking for it in the PB section and couldn't find it.
Also should I use sweetened coconut flakes or dried? I want my coconut butter to be sweet but when ever I add sugar to a solid it becomes syrupy (???). Probably because I'm such a bad baker XD
Anyways what should I do? Thank you for your response and have a wonderful day :)

Google the method on a blog called "Heather Eats Almond Butter".
I think I found mine at bulk barn. Keep on looking!

I hope one of those helps you out! :)
take shredded coconut n put it in a food processer until it gets that texture.
Ok thank you guys :)
But would it work the same way with sweetened shredded coconut? I think I'd like the taste better with a little sugaaaa lol

It depends. Sweetened coconut could have other ingredients added to it. I think you'd get the best results if you made the butter with unsweetened, then add sugar once it's liquid.
I make mine in the blender ( maybe I'll try the food processor next time! )
And use unsweetened coconut, yeah it is kinda bland but when it's with other flavors ( like I put it into my oatmeal with PB and real cocoa ) maybe add a liquid sweetener like stevia drops or agave?
Thanks for posting these websites, i am now in love with www.foodiefiasco.com and can not wait to make the coconut butter. Thanks again,
Liz
