I have Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Egg Noodles & it says 1 serving size is 2 ounces. Does anyone have any idea how many cups equals to 2 ounces? I'm in the process of cooking dinner now...

Well, 1 cup = 8 ounces, but I believe this is usually fluid ounces. But going by that it would be 1/4 cup.

Are you needing to know for a recipe or for calories? If you are looking for calories I would just go by what is listed for calories on CC for egg noodles, this way you can determine what the calories are for cooked noodles (package cals are usually un-cooked).

 

It's almost impossible to measure pasta or noodles by volumn.  You need to get a digital scale that weighs in grams and ounces.  Mine has been the most valuable thing I've invested in.

What I do is look at how many servings are in the box and divide the pasta up before i put it in the water. So...if it says 4 servings I divide the box into 4 equal piles and only cook one pile for myself and if I have guests I cook the rest for them in a seperate pot.

 Yes, this is what I used to do before I got a scale. If i plan on just cooking for myself, ill divide the pasta up, put it in sandwich bags, and put them back into the box.

Don't try going by measuring cups, you will not get an accurate serving size.

If the pasta it's dry 2 ounces is actually 1 cup, another way to measure tha kind of portions is readig how many serves has the container and then if you are cooking the whole content you can measure it easly by knowng the number or if don't you will know that if you prepare half container it will give you x portions which has x amunt of cals.

I'll second that, clairelaine.  I bought a really good digital kitchen scale, and I weigh EVERYTHING, i.e., pasta, meat, fish, poultry, fruit, etc., etc.  I use it all the time, so it was definitely not a waste of money.
