I never know what to eat!

Quote  |  Reply
I always get in a few different fruits and a high fiber/low sugar cereal for breakfast, protien, veggies and whole wheat for lunch. Snack on fruit and a low cal snack bag. Then I'm left with like 200-400 calories around 7 every night and I'm hungry and usually not home and I don't know what to eat! Any ideas?

Chicken or fish is usually a good idea cuz they are low in calories and high in nutrients. Some low calorie way of preparing the meat are: Steaming Boiling Searing(with only 1tbs of olive oil)

U can stir fry vegs too, like broccoli and other vegs u like. Stir frying requires only 1 to 2 tbs of oil so it wouldnt be too high calorie. Hope this helped!!

Oh, and if u are not home, u can bring withu celery sticks or carrot sticks with hummus or smth like that. They taste not bad and are easy to carry around. U can bring around protein bars too, just make sure they are low in sugar and carbs, dont get fooled into thinking that high protein means healthier!! There are some energy bars that have really high calories because of the sugar and sometimes fat, so be careful!
A good way to plan a meal is if there are any nutritional allotments that need work. Personally I'm always low on fiber and if it's a snack it's popcorn or if it's dinner it's a whole wheat pizza or black bean tacos.
