On the back of the jar it says 190 per serving and 10 servings per jar, so 1900 total.
you honestly don't want to know (swallows hard and has the deer in headlights look) Its very fattening with no nutritional value but it taste wonderful lol
I've never tried Nutella and now I don't plan on it! Haha...I hear it's addicting.

I prefer to stick with peanut butter; similar nutritionals, but with nutrition and peanut protein. ^-^

the jars here don't got nutrition values on them!!

here in indonesia, like 99% of their products don't have nutrition values on the back because most indonesians don't care. they're allsooooo skinny

190 for two tablespoons. And there are about 10 servings per jar so I'd say about 2000 for the whole jar. I know, I love Nutella too. =) Just had some yesterday.

Surprised oh, btw nycgirl!!! how many grams is your jar?? maybe our jars are different...?

I hadnt had nutella in years then went to a friends and had peanut butter and nutella on toast. I became instantly addicted. Saturday afternoon i gave in bought a jar of each which are now nearly gone. Fortuantely my friend ate half of it when she came over. I refuse to buy anymore its evil beautiful stuff.
nutella is amazing! lately i've i had a serious craving so i've been spreading a tbls. on half of a light english muffin. then i have the other half with light butter. kills my nutella craving and ends up being about 250 cals for the whole thing. not as much protein as pb, but so tasty :)

i absolutely agree w/ shiagirl! i think its funny how nutella advertises themselves as a health product and like its the best start to your kid's day.
Wayyy too much sugar! So yes, its delicious.

Peanut butter is much better nutritional value wise than nutella, in my opinion!
Really? No nutritional value? It's made out of nutritional hazelnuts, right? I love that stuff...on saltine crackers and pretzels YUM!
What is nutella?

yeah... i thought that it would hv quite a bit of nutritional value, since it's from hazelnut..

nutella is a HAZELNUT SPREAD =]

Haha sorry, I don't mean no nutritional value at all. Like all foods, there must be something in it thats good for you.

Minimal protein -- I believe peanut butter has at LEAST double it. (I guess I like my protein... )

And its mainly all sugar!! If I remember correctly, what is it? 8 grams of sugar per tbsp.
Most peanut butters only have 3 grams or less of sugar... your regular kraft pb has 1 gram per tbsp

And I suppose there are some good fats associated w nutella, but in general, I think PB is better... but again, thats just me.

Nutella is too chocolate-y for me to have for breakfast to think that its healthy (don't get me wrong, I do think its delicious and would lvoe to have it for breakfast everyday, but its just too dessert-like for me w/ minimal nutritional goods... but I want a good healthy start to my day! I coudl be a lot healthier for the same amount of calories!)
Really random, but on the note of dessert-like delicious breakfasts, I loveeee bread w/ jam & PB and *frozen* bananas... sooo good. The first time I ate it, it reminded me sooo much of an ice-cream sandwich!
Nutella is more sugar than nuts. But you can make your own.
Hazelnuts arent on the whfoods list but they are nuts, so they have some value. But store bought nutella really doesnt.. you could also use honey if you dont like splenda.
Anyway, everything is ok in modertaion (tho a jar might not be exactly described as that :P )

Sooji, my jar of Nutella is 13 oz or 371 grams. I eat one-two tablespoons spread on rice cakes every night now and am loving the chocolately fix.

I am CONVINCED that they put something addictive in it because I seriously could eat a whole jar of it!

I found out it had partially-hydrogenated oil in it, which is why I try to not eat it, but I suppose sometimes is ok :D

Here's a link to the nutritional info on their website:

http://www.nutellausa.com/nutInfo.htm

ohhh.  Now I'm afraid.

I had wanted to try it, but if its so addicting I'm scared..............

*putting Nutella on list with drug dealers.......stay away and never try*
I had just forgotten about nutella...and then I saw this thread!!  Dun dun dun....
It looks kind of gross! Is it like chocolate and peanutbutter mixed together? What would you put it on??
I recently spent 6 weeks in Europe, and seriously every person I encountered ate Nutella and they stored jars of it in their house. You can put it on toast, crackers, or just eat it right out of the jar!, which was perfectly normal by European standards. I ate Nutella crepes, on rice cakes, crackers, you name it. they put it on everything!....But the mention of peanut butter totally disgusted every European I met. It was very difficult trying to find peanut butter in Western Europe.....one grocery store in Croatia stocked it....but about a half sized jar (by American standards) was about 10 dollars. It was unbelivable....truthfully, i think Nutella is worse (healthwise) for you than peanut butter. But everything is ok in moderation I guess...I use Better N' Peanut Butter....great taste and less calories!
