Can someone give me some input please?
Sugar in fruit is not really the same thing as sugar out of the sugar bowl, because of the fiber in the rest of the fruit.
I love pineapple. I'd be more worried about the acid in eating loads of pineapple, long-term (it can be hard on your tooth enamel), but if you just ate a ton of pineapple once in awhile, it's fine.
When I was in high school, I was in band and we went to Hawaii (awesome, I know) one year. We went to the Dole Pineapple Plantation and you could order pineapple and have it shipped to you later, so my mom and I of course did! Well, I was so excited when we got them that I ate like half of one in a sitting and the next day my tongue was raw because of all the acid! It was totally worth it though!!! :-)
As far as too many calories, it says that 1 pineapple that is 472 grams is 236 calories, which isn't nearly as bad as I expected. I'm not quite sure I believe that though. The website nutritiondata.com says that a 905g pineapple is 452 calories, so I guess it depends on how big your pineapple was, how much you ate that day, what your goals are, etc. If it didn't cause you to go over your calorie goal, then it's totally fine. If you did go over, it isn't going to make you gain a bunch of weight. Just get back on track tomorrow!
