2. something crunchy? Kashi GoLean cereal, mixed nuts, or toasted pita bread.
3. something salty? Cottage cheese, kale chips, or popcorn. I prefer salty over sweet any day.
4. to replace a high fat snack? Popcorn with parmesean and garlic! It's so much tastier (and healthier) than popcorn coated with butter. I love mixing Greek yogurt with honey, frozen bananas, and cocoa and freezing it, then putting in the food processor and eating it right away. It's like soft serve ice cream only better.
5. to replace something fried? I bread and bake my chicken parmesean instead of frying it. It's still amazing; no different from the original. I add some finely grated parmesean to the breading and it adds a rich flavor without a lot of added oils.
6. to replace movie theater snacks? I bring my own popped mini bags of Trader Joe's popcorn and smuggle them in a large purse. Hahah. Or I bring a Larabar or some nuts and fruit mixed with dry cereal. I don't go to the movies a whole lot.
