how much Splenda is too much??
I love Splenda and I can't imagine giving it up. If it causes cancer I'll be the first one with it :/
Is this too much??? How much do you use? How can I cut down??
I don't want to die :( I'm 15 If it matters. And a sugar addict. :'(
You'd be much better off learning to live without the sweet taste.
Yikes, you need to eat some real food.
Is there a reason you're eating so much diet/sugar-free stuff? This sounds like you're trying to limit calories even though we have told you again and again that you need to eat more.
You're not a "sugar addict" you have an eating disorder.
I use too much Splenda stuff-Waldenfarms,diet jellies, ketchup, etc. probably 9-11 bottles weekly.I have been trying to research it and it is made of chlorine and I know I have horrible gas, etc.
I'd say any splenda is too much.
Lay off the artificial sweeteners- your body will thank you.
None of the studies have come up with a definitive answer so no one can say "well, 1/2 cup is a fine but 2/3 cup will KILL YOU." However, 1/2 cup of Splenda every single day is definitely excessive. I mean, it's portioned in those little packets for a reason. Time to start weening yourself off it by using gradually less each day.
That seems like a lotttt to me. I think if you stop using it you'll find you don't crave it as much as you think..
I use 1 packet of splenda in my coffee, but thats about it
Lol. I'm trying to cut down. Gradually. I'm starting to use balsamic vinegar instead of sugar free dressings. Is that a good start??

I go absolutely NUTS if I don't eat any! Mmmm Splenda is sooo good. I had 7 packs and 2/3 cup today :/ I tried to limit and I was doing fine at first but then I ended up pouring it over my squash :-|

again... you are borderline underweight... or are underweight and are striving for an unhealthy weight.
eat some sugar.

I would suggest adding a tablespoon of olive oil to the vinegar.
Have you tried Truvia? It's at least a bit healthier than Splenda. I think it tastes better as well, none of that weird after taste. However, I too, use too much. Probably 6-10 packets a day :-x
This is happening to you because you are verging on being underweight at the moment, and aiming for a ridiculously low weight (98 lbs at 5' 7" IS ridiculous), and have an ED. If you ate properly, and didn't try to starve yourself down to 400 calories some days, you wouldn't crave sugar this way. You need 2,500 calories a day of REAL food - your body will thank you for it.
I think it's worth pointing out, too, that artificial sweeteners don't trigger the same satisfaction as real sugar does, so you keep on craving sweet even though you just ate something sweet. So you're escalating your sweet tooth avoiding natural sugars.
Personally, I think all artificial sweeteners taste alike, none of them taste like sugar, and all of them are gross, so I can't picture how one could develop an addiction, but I guess anything is possible.
And I'm not eating 400 calories a day. I'm eating a lot more.
I love sweet things. Lol I love food. I find that when ie at something sweet I can't stop either. Like natural honey once I ate a kilo in two days. My parents don't buy that because it affected my throat (??) somehow.
