What to get at starbucks??

Quote  |  Reply

what are some healthy drinks to get from starbucks? I personally HATE iced coffee, but if your suggestion is about iced coffee then TYPE IT! i want everyone to have their choices, if someone has the same question i do, but they want iced coffee they can still find it here! so i am babysitting right by starbucks and i really want some. i always get the white mocha, extra hot. but i want to get something healthy. the only problem is most of the healthy things are not sweet! does anyone know a healthy coffee from starbucks that is still sweet?Cry

Obviously Starbucks is never going to be the healthiest option, but when I go and I don't want to feel too guilty about it, I just get a plain cafe latte with non fat milk, preferably just a tall. I think that it's still pretty sweet, but that could be because I don't eat sugary foods too often anymore. You could also try a soy latte.

I'm still stuck in the scared-to-get-anything-but: coffee or green tea phase, but otherwise:

I really like chai lattes. You can ask for it skinny..? I don't really think that makes it much more healthy, but it's darn good.

Dude. I am the same way. I still won't go there unless I'm forced to by whoever I'm with.

My reason is a little different though. I used to have a severe reaction to fat (got my gallbladder out and now I'm fine) so had to order absolutely everything fat free. I found out the hard way that starbucks CANNOT be trusted to actually make your drink the way you ask- if they're out of something, they will not tell you and just make your drink with whole milk instead of skim. I ended up with hours of pain after that and haven't been back since that day... only now it's because of the calorie factor.

I wouldn't advise getting a chai latte. They're delicious but completely packed with sugar. And even if you get a skinny, it still has sweetener which is not good for you.

Do they actually do that? Oh wow :(.

I would advise going to a coffee shop and getting real coffee instead of the sludge they sell at starbucks.

Healthiest option is the Vivanno, about 270 - 300 calories it has milk (you can ask for skim and itll be even less calories), protein powder, a whole banana and either chocolate flavoring or orange mango juice depending on which flavor you choose. So you get the health benefits of those things mentioned.

For low calorie I get the tall skinny flavored vanilla latte, with sugar free syrup (ask which flavors they have in that, most have at least peppermint, vanilla and dulce de leche).  Starbucks website says it is 90 cals

ALSO, what I did is go to the Starbucks website and look at the nutrition menu, write down a few of the lowest cal drinks they offer and those are your choices :D

In the mornings, I'll get a tall bold coffee.

In the summer afternoon, I'll get a tall unsweetened iced coffee or Americano (sometimes with 1 pump vanilla but usually black.

A few times in the summer, I may get a tall coffee light frappucino
Btw, a tall coffe light frap has only 90 cals but does contain artificial sweeteners.

Thanks to all of you! :) I went to Starbucks today before checking this:( I wish I would have. An I live in a small small town in Louisiana. Starbucks is as close as it gets to a real coffee shop. And I have to go to the next town to get it.

If you want REALLY good coffee, I'd buy a french press and make your own. You can buy the same syrups that starbucks uses, and probably save a lot of money each month while getting better quality for what you do spend. ;)
