For fun, what is your 10 favorite foods of all time and  your 10 least favorite foods? List why you do or don't like these

Least Favorite

  1. meat- I'm a vegetarian. Enough said
  2. egg yolk- it's just gross
  3. butter- the way it "sweats" when sitting out is nasty
  4. cake- the consistency irks me
  5. ranch dressing- it taste gross
  6. cantaloupe- always smells like it's rotting
  7. okra- it just makes me want to vomit
  8. anything deep fried- come on at most places the mozzarella sticks go  in the same vat as the chicken wings. Ew. No thanks
  9. rigatoni- the shape is strange and I can't get past it
  10. velveta- that's not food, that's plastic flavored like cheese

Favorites

  1. Gorgonzola cheese- it's the best cheese ever
  2. veggie sushi- the seaweed makes it so good
  3. morningstar farm spicy black bean burger- this is the best veggie burger out there
  4. reduced fat wheatables- good as a snack or a side
  5. oatmeal- a good snack as well as healthy breakfast
  6. raw spinach- i could eat it by the pound
  7. ice cream- I don't hate, I like it all ha
  8. Panera's fuji apple salad- All the flavors blend so well
  9. Gnocchi- I love carbs. Why would I not love a potato/pasta hybrid??
  10. eggplant- it's the most versatile veggie

(Somewhat in order- the top three I REFUSE to eat. The others, I will eat if I have to, but don't really like them either)

1) EGGS!! I've tried liking them, I really want to, but I just don't! They gross me out!

2) Mayo- this was pre-ED, my mom would make me sandwiches with them as a kid and I always hated it!

3) Olives

4) Green beans- especially if they're cooked the "southern" way, really long and slow and sopping in oil.

5) Peanuts, Almonds, Walnuts....I'm just not a big fan.

6) Hamburger meat

7) Bleu cheese

8) Anything really oily

9) Boost/Ensure- I know it's not really a food per say, but I developed a real aversion to these in treatment

10) Cooked spinach, collard greens, mustard greens

OK..OK..after reading the last number of posts, surely you must be British folk! I've never heard of some of this stuff.. "tinned pasta." Must be a Chef Boyardee equivalent.

Fav foods are without doubt just about anyway that a potato or pasta could be made:

  1. french fries (burger king has the best, next to home made)
  2. smothered potatoes
  3. cheese (blue, pepper jack, feta, sharp cheddar, and muenster)
  4. frosted flakes
  5. greens ( only when my mom cooks them, mmmm)
  6. mac and cheese
  7. turkey sandwhich
  8. salad
  9. chicken breasts
  10. sauteed squash and zucchini (only when I make it)

 

Now for the least favs:

  1. avocados (yuck)
  2. okra (yes a southerner that does not like okra, shame on me!)
  3. turkey bacon (smells weird)
  4. smoked sausage (the pieces of meat that are hard makes me gag)
  5. CARROT RAISIN SALAD (disgusting to the Nth degree)
  6. mayonnaise (too eggy or oily)
  7. seafood ( trying to come around to it, weird texture sometimes)
  8. unsweetened tea
  9. oatmeal w/o sugar (it as to be sweet for me to eat it)
  10. other people's food outside of mom's ( i eat less at functions where ppl have brought food that they cooked themselves!!!!)

 

Gosh.. you'd wonder how I ever managed to lose 60 pounds huh when you read this and keep it off for three years! Could be why I can't take off that last twenty pounds huh!

10 Favourite - (Only ten?!) - in no particular order

Chocolate

cheese

Spaghetti with homemade spaghetti sauce

a nice thick BBQ steak (who cares if there's a blizzard outside!)

Pop - Hand me my pepsi max - I don't care if it's 6am.. that's my coffee but if that's not a food.. just about any kind of vegetable!

Silouette Apple and Cinnamon Yogurt  - which I can't get here where I'm living in fact anything with apple and cinnamon.. more cinnamon than apple!

Strawberries and cream

A hunk of homemade break with butter like mom used to make - heck.. pass the loaf! (Yes.. I don't do it anymore but I would if I could!)

Cookies - any kind unless they have fruit in them.

Roast beef with gravy

 

10 least favourite things

Fish - particularly salmon - even the fish and chip variety needs a half a bottle of ketchup to hide the taste

Fruit with the exception of strawberries

Egg Yolks

Sausages

Ice cream (Nope.. don't really like the stuff)

Plain chicken

Cereal - I'm always hungry after eating it

Weird flavoured yogurts like fig, mango passion, lemon etc.  It takes me forever to find a yogurt I will even consider eating.

Canned (tinned) things with meat in it like stew - give me homemade anyday

olives - they smell like dirty feet! (SMILE!)

2. Juicy rare steak with just salt and pepper

3. Air popped pocorn- sprayed with non-stick butter spray and sprinkled with greek seasoning- DELICIOUS!

4. Whole roasted chicken with lots of herbs and spices

5. Roasted vegetable medley- tossed in olive oil, S & P, & parmesan cheese

6. Pasta- prefer whole wheat

7. Sherbet- preferably raspberry or boisenberry

8. Red wine, white wine, any kind of wine really!

9. Fruit- pretty much every kind except starfish

10.  Cheese- everything but blue cheese

Least Favorite

1. Tomatoes

2. Onions

3. Liver

4. Sardines

5. Most mexican food- too greasy and irritates my stomach

6. Cake frosting- too gritty feeling in my mouth, too sweet

7. Olives

8. Fast food- gives me instant heartburn and stomachache ( i guess that's a good thing)

9. Ribs- too fatty and I hate eating stuff with my fingers

10. Pizza (ate way too much in college and now I can't stomach the stuff)

Artichokes w/butter & dijon mayo

Cold stone creamery cake batter ice cream with real whip cream, lots!

Quad espresso, sugar, heavy cream

LOTS OF SUSHI/SASHIMI!

Brie baked w/ apricots, or with smoked salmon

eggs extra easy over a really good sausage patty with melted ramano cheese on a warm croissant, hmmmm

Portabella ravioli with lobster and really fresh alfredo sauce

  1. Mayonnaise (this is more an absolute detest, rather than a "least favorite")

  5. Rice

  9. Pies of any sort
  10. Cannoli (I have comitted the mortal Italian sin. But I do not like cannoli. Chocolate and cheese? I pass, thank you.)
