Weighing your food on a kitchen scale is probably the best way to get closer to the true calorie content. I usually eat half a banana with my cereal, which usually weighs around 60 grams, plug that into calorie count and it's around 50 cals.

- ughh.. how I wish I could do that....Frown Sadly, I dont have a food scale!!! how long is that "half a banana" of yours? is it around 3 inches ? a bit longer?

I guess it's around that...I'm sure your little banana probably wouldn't be much more than 50 cals...at least not by any amount worth worrying about.

Easy.  When you enter 'bananas' into your log, choose one of the options (small, med, large) and calculate based on the length given.  So, if a medium banana is 6 - 7 inches, you enter 0.55 bananas or whatever the length of your banana is in relation to the option on CC.

good answer

oh, i think i know what bananas they are, however i cannot recall the bame; baby bananas ?  beleive it or not, i think from memory they are about 110 calories.  yep, they are tiny, but pack a caloric punch!  look up baby bananas when you get a chance ... that's what i am doing because this peeked my curiosity.   hehe big things do come in little packages :p

edit: looked up 80-110 calories and mostly alll sugar and carbs.  clarify sugar is natural sugar from the fruit.

yeahh.... I had put mine as around.... 55 calories for each...!!Laughing

- what??!?!?!!??!?! 110 calories? no wayyyyyyyyyy..... whoa........... whoa...........

okay, I "just" googled baby bananas, but I got 40 kcals for them!!! Laughing Lol this is funny hahaha!!

Yep, it's true that different types of a particular food may have different caloric values, but the variations aren't usually that big.  Considering that no nutritional values given anywhere are exactly 100% correct, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I eat a lot of frozen salmon.  On the box it usually says that the fish inside is one of two or three different types! There's no way for me to know exactly which one I'm eating or which nutritional values to choose.  I generally choose the first one that pops up, and I managed to lose 30 lbs with my loose version of calorie counting!

~ Laughing gee, thankssss!!!! I admire you for losing those 30 lbs whoa whoa whoa!!! You're right... I should be fine with simply estimating Smile Thanks again!!

The banana have a lot calories and gives back the quick energy when you workouts. The average banana 114 grams that have 100 calories.

best bet is to weigh them out on a food scale.
