"Summer" dinner? I don't know what season goes with what food...

It all tastes the same to me, no matter what the temperature or weather. *is confused*

oh sorry, I dunno, I just prefer some foods in hotter or colder climates. Par example: I'd much rather have watermelon, BBQ steak and/or icecream when it's 100 degrees out than a hot bowl of stew.

That's all I meant.

Does it have to be low cal?

I love when we grill. The grill makes everything taste better. If we are going with the lighter option, grilled vegetables and "Beer Can" chicken.

My real favorite is BBQ chicken and corn on the cob - with butter and salt. Mmmn. . .

SG

Prawn and Rocket with spaghetti :o)

410 calories per portion

A huge fresh spinach salad with goat cheese, sliced apples, sliced strawberries, and homemade balsamic vinaigrette to start

Then for my main course grilled salmon with a side of grilled asparagus.

'Seasonal' meals generally involve foods that are in season during that season.

Tomatos, asparagus, watermelon, chicken, etc are usually in season in the summer.

Apples, pumpkin, etc in the fall...

Hot dogs! Easy to make, easy clean up, tasty,.... I know it isn't the healthiest, but it's my fav.

double post.

Grilled steak, corn on the cob and a veggie kabob with peppers, onion, mushrooms and zucchini. Maybe some grilled fruit or watermelon for dessert. And a cold beer.

Gazpacho, steamed or grilled shrimp with salsa and veggies (for dipping). Crusty French baguette.

 Watermelon for dessert.

Grilled chicken sandwiches with a spinach salad that includes strawberries, mandarin oranges, mushrooms and a raspberry vinaigrette.

amazing ideas! Thanks!

Grilled veggies mmmmm with a nice veggie tofu burger right off the grill.

Whole wheat pasta tossed with lightly roasted tomatoes, arugula, fresh basil and lemon zest.

Refried beans and grilled squash wrapped in a burrito with fresh avocado and salsa.

Corn on the cob with either steak or chicken. Mmm.

hmmm...

well, i only eat for 1 lol. no partner or anything of the sort.

baked beans with grilled vegetables and a veggie burger.

Oh so many things come to mind but the first one being: grilled salmon with grilled vegetables and olive tapenade or some sort of olive oil dressing! So delicious... of course you don't have to grill just salmon... all grilled fish is out of this world tasty! A whole grilled seabass for instance! :)

Grilled or baked chicken, pasta salad with veggies, and corn on the cob.

For dessert, I like angelfood cake with fresh fruit (blueberries, strawberries, and kiwi are my favorites) and whipped cream.

summer dinner for two, summer is such a great food month! super fresh...my favorite dinner i made last summer was a salad containing endive, arugula, fresh figs, blue cheese, candied walnuts, grilled chicken with a balsamic dressing. ( the combo of fresh figs, and the cheese and chicken with balsamic is so good)served with gazpacho soup(cold soup, very good and refreshing(forgot the recipe though) and bakery crusty bread - this was a perfect dinner ate outside. Oh and kabobs, are great too(and fun!) with chicken/shrimp/meat/veggies/onion/shallots.

i love how everyone has healthy favs, its funny cause you often think people just eat helathy caue they must...but its not true,  even 1 or 2 hot dogs is not bad,  you dont have anyone here saying there fav summer meal is a bucket of kfc with all the trimmings,

that being said,  cab or egg salad, and anything with salsa

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
