Anyone know if the carbs in Whey protein are considered simple or complex?
I usually have 2 scoops after after working out. I also think they should be simple carbs after a workout consisting of cardio (30 min) and weights (30 min).
Any ideas? :)
There shouldn't be many carbs in whey protein. Don't worry about it.
hehe, ya they're simple, but two scoops should only give you about 6g.. if you're tryin to build muscle, you should get at least 20-30 post workout. Try white bread or 16 oz. Gatorade plus your Whey protien. The combonation of both will help deliver the amino acids and protiens into the muscle and boost insulin levels. This anabolic hormone drives nutrients into the muslce cells, and kick starts the muscle-growth process.
Okay, I will try a slice of white bread or something of the sort.
At this point I'm just trying to keep whatever muscle I have as I try to get down in body fat %.
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
