nikki_08- My big day is planned for next March. And I am so excited. Congrats on your future wedding as well.
Our team did soooo well this week. Way to go Green team!!! Keep up the good work everyone :)
It is Sunday evening, the weekend is pretty much over, lets kick this week off right!
Go Green Team!
It has been a super long and wierd week for me this week. I am hoping to lose a couple pounds but not the numbers like last week. I know everyone has their fingers crossed for themselves but cross them for me too!!
Well my Monday is off to a bad start. Everything went wrong getting out for a real run this am and I have to settle in on elliptical instead, after I get the kids off to school. I *should* have just pulled it out and gotten right on instead of getting on the computer to research new shoes.
And then there's the whole scale thing.... haven't gotten on in the past few days and I'm up 5 from last weigh in. Portions have been on fine... not a lot of sodium or junk and up 5 lbs. Dinner was pre-packed so the sodium in that was bad, but I had really low sodium until that.
Hope everyone else starts this week off on a better foot then I did.
I am going to have a shoddy way in this week, but I'm ok with that because starting today I am busting my buns off!! I should have about a pound and a half lost and I'll log it tomorrow, then the next week I'll log it on Thursday.
Everyone's doing great! keep your heads up, we all have bad days but remember: a bad day today almost guarantees a better one tomorrow. :)

i absolutely love this! way to stay positive sarahc!!
soo, this weekend was waaayyy better than last weekend! ![]()
the fiance came back into town - he was gone all week, hangin' out (actually, working) in rainy florida (lucky!). we live in phoenix, where it is currently 107 degrees outside.
anyway, i picked him up from the airport on friday night and we went to have dinner. eating out = trouble, usually. but i did good and while yes, i did indulge in a burger and fries (gasp!), i only ate half of my half of the order of fries (we shared one order
) and i had a junior burger with mustard, no mayo and feta cheese instead of the gooey yummy kind and lots-o-veggies. not tooo terribly bad. i had gone for an awesome run earlier that day too. and all week long i had kept my net cals to ~1200/day, so i figured one day of 1550 cals wasn't going to hurt - it might even help boost the metabolism a bit! ![]()
on saturday, i made breakfast - scrambled egg wraps with low carb wheat tortillas and lots of salsa, mmm! then we went for a crazy intense bike ride through like four different parks for a little over an hour! we were sweatin' it up pretty good. then we went home, had lunch - hotdogs (doh! could have made a better choice, but oh well - they were delicious! haha!), and watched the finale of the biggest loser. we always watch the show together, and since my fiance was out of town all week, i recorded it on the dvr and waited to watch it 'til he was back. sooo (1) it was killing me because i really wanted to see it!, and (2) i really really wanted to see it because i already knew who won - thanks to all the cc-ers who posted about it right after the show, lol. i was super curious to see what they all looked like!! btw, i thought helen looked wayy too thin and i thought tara looked freakin' fantastic!! oh, and then for dinner we went to this cute little pizza place and had fresh garden salads with spinach and veggie pizza with lots of sauce and little cheese, it was great!!
on sunday, we went to church, had left overs for lunch and dinner - which was great because it was all stuff i had made earlier in the week, so nothing was overly processed or sky-high is cals or sodium. i did cave to my random caffeine craving yesterday and had one diet pepsi with lime.
but i quickly chased it with lots of water, lol.
today has started off not too shabby - i woke up a little early this morning (not too sure why, just couldn't sleep well i guess), so i got in a quick, 20 minute routine of yoga before getting ready for work! i know it doesn't really burn a whole lot of calories, but it sure did feel awesome to stretch so early in the morning. i highly recommend you try it!! i bought this five day fit yoga dvd at barnes and noble for like ten bucks and it has five different routines on it. they're pretty relaxing and really make you feel each part of your different muscles. i was really calm and relaxed while showering and getting ready... until i was preparing my coffee and discovered our water dispenser was out of hot water (i drink instant) - bummer!! so i had to wait a few more minutes for my water to heat up in the microwave. other than that, i'm feelin' pretty good. ![]()
hopefully the rest of today and tomorrow go well and i'm keepin' my fingers crossed that i totally rock on the scale on wednesday morning!! i'm hoping for at least a one pound drop, but anything in the downward direction will most definitely be welcomed with open arms!!! ![]()
good luck everybody with this week's weigh in and i hope ya'll have an awesome week!!! goooooo greeeeennnn!!!!
I did great last week.. still motivated this week, but not doing as well.. I increased my work out, added one more day of cardo... Last week at work was soooo stressful, I think my body is on strike this week.. OH well.. on to the next week..
I must say, it is soooooooo nice knowing that the support is here. It make me not feel so frustrated, and when I read everyones posts... its a good feeling..
Good luck everyone on week 2!

Oh, that is SOOOOOOOO going on my white board as the quote of the week for this week. As a matter of fact, I may write it with a Sharpie.
I'll have a loss this week, but it won't be a big one. Really surprised, too, as I didn't go eat at my mom's house this weekend (that's when I get in trouble). So, we'll see. I won't have more than a 1lb weight loss, though. As of yesterday, I was only down 0.6 from the Sunday before. But, I guess that's better than up.
it's wayyyyy better to be down than up! a small loss is still a loss, is still a reminder of how hard you worked and how much it was worth it!!
i'm glad you ladies liked my motivation phrase, my grandmother used to tell me that all the time as a kid because i had a lot of bad days (being the fat girl, the smart girl, the nerdy girl, etc) growing up. it gets me through the week sometimes, and i find it's more humanitarian and optimistic than "no matter how bad you have it ... etc".
what's everyone's workouts today? i'm doing a half hour jog followed by some flexibility moves to work out the burn. eating an apple right now to tide me over on the ride home. so far today i haven't done anything bad to my body!
EDIT: I LOST MORE THAN A POUND THIS PAST WEEK!! LOOK OUT NEXT WEEK HERE I COME :D
I'm more motivated today and probably got a lot of my calories burned yesterday without the run lol. Did a nice walk around home depot pushing the cart with an added 37# munchkin in it so that helps. And came home and cleaned. We live in FL close to the beach so my soil is pretty sandy and it makes a huge mess. Ended up sweeping twice and mopping three times because the dogs got let in early with a wet floor so I had to start over once. Didn't do the halls or bathrooms, bedrooms are carpet so that gets me a little break lol. But it's good exercise.
Found out WHY I gained 5lbs, feel better unless you count the cramps. Bleh. But hey that just means a better drop next week.
Workout today? Laundry.... cleaning the kitchen and then I dunno what else around the house. If I can, I'm just going to do a run in my backup shoes tonight after the hubby gets home. and if I can't run, I'll just take my beagle out for a walk. Feel bad doing that but the lil fella is still learning the leash and it's a pain trying to do a long walk with him right now!
we are so doing an awesome job yet again! everybody that has weighed in so far - justsmileandnod, mamamiasmith, sarahc09, and tazzie_23 - is moving in totally the right direction. way to go ladies, keep up the great work!! i have a good feeling about this week too, because the green team is crazy awesome!!
sarahc: congrats on losing over a pound - doesn't it feel great to see numbers you totally aren't expecting?! hopefully my weigh in goes the same tomorrow morning.
ladyduece: that is sooo awesome that you are more motivated today and awesome job on burning off those calories yesterday. isn't it crazy how regular work around the house can really get your heart pumping and put your muscles to work?! keep up the great work!! ![]()
I'm really surprised at the lack of weight loss this week, although down is still down! Last week I was all over the place. When they changed CC I went and reworked my calorie intake from 1550 to 1365. On top of that I started working out a lot harder (2 cardio dance classes and a date with the treadmill in addition to my regular salsa lessons). I think my body just freaked out. So I bumped it back up to 1550 and I'm going to go to one cardio dance class this week and 2 nights of salsa/club dancing. Dependig on my work schedule/energy level I'm planning on doing the treadmill thing at least once this week too.
I'm down another .8 pounds but I think I may miss my goal of 190 by May 21st. I really wanted to make it, but unless it is just water weight that will sort itself out, I doubt it. ![]()

bh: try to drink 2 gallons of water today, and find a natural diuretic like... pineapple, watermelon, cranberries, and see if the weight changes. how much are you right now? from your picture it looks like 190 is doable. my goal is to be below 200 by june 10th so we're kind of on the same page. i alternate hard cardio one day with heavy weight training the next, and every day i take at least a half hour light walk. i eat between 1500 and 1600 calories a day, and that's a recent change for me. since i've made these improvements i've lost 3 lbs already! i wish i'd have weighed in today cause i'm 206 today, haha. Must be water weight. :P good luck woman! you can do this!
i'm seeing more and more of the green team post for this week's weigh in, and we are all totally rocking the scales once again! let's see if we can pull out another victory - that would be awesome!!
congrats to everybody who has posted and lost this week and let's keep up the love and support!! go green!!!
Sarahc - 2 gallons! I don't think I'd be able to move if I drank 2 gallons of water! I'll work on it though!
Kilkenny - Welcome to the group! I love how diverse and encouraging this group is. Great job on the loss so far and keep it up!
Go Green Team!
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
