Hi! I'm looking to start a relatively small group of no more than 10 people to join in a weight loss challenge ending New Years Day! Let's see how much we can lose before 2012! Reply and let me know if you want to join. We can weigh-in once a week. I'm thinking Wednesdays, but I'm up for negotiating! We could use this format for keeping track of weight loss:
Highest Weight: 278.8
CC Start Weight: 278.8
Challenge Start Date: 11/09/11
Challenge Start Weight: 220.4
New Years Goal: 209.4
Those are my stats. When you join, go ahead and post yours so we have a place to start from. I can keep track of overall group weight loss once a week and send that out. We can also use this to ask questions, give suggestions, and just for overall support and motivation! I think that's about it...reply if you want to join!
Wow! Everybody had such great weeks!! even with all the temptations! It's good to enjoy the holiday traditions within reason, of course!
Thanks, buann! It looks like you're getting close to the 100s!! Are you excited? I know I'm just itching to have a 1 as the first digit of my weight and it can't come fast enough!
This week, we were missing Paul because he's on his trip, but with the other 4 of us, we have lost a total of 33.3 pounds and 3.63% of our original weight!
With the holidays this week, there will no doubt be some struggles, but if we all go into it with the right mindset, I know we'll come out on top! My plan is to indulge a little bit on the Christmas food, but do it within my calorie range. Here's to a happy, healthy holiday season for all of us!
Hey everyone. A total of 33.3 lbs...incredible!
This week I won't be adding or subtracting from that number. I very much enjoyed my holiday eggnog. The scale is chilling...lol. Although I do wish is was just a wee bit closer to the 1's.
I think I will change my goal weight for the new year to 200.8 lbs. Attempting to lose 23.6 lbs in six weeks is beginning to feel a little ambitious for the holiday season. With my weight loss patterns so far I think it's possible to reach 200.8 lbs in the next four days.
Looking forward to reading how everyone else did.
I also had a pretty hard week with the holidays, but managed to lose 0.4 lbs so I'm now at 210.8. almost forgot to post!
do we want to weigh in on New Year's Day? Or, wait until next Wednesday?
I'm back from my trip to Rwanda and, although I had a great time walking/hiking/treking, I still managed to gain a little weight on the trip. I went up to 249.8lbs. Ah well, I just couldn't resist the wonderful grapefruit sized Avocados, the delicious Pineapple, banana, passion fruit, and "tree tomato" that were plentiful and cheap to have.
I hope you all had a terrific holiday and that you all did better than I did for the last two weeks. I'm frankly pleased that I hadn't gained more than I did during my vacation. Now it is back to sensible eating. Happy New Year!
Paul - It sounds like you had a great trip!
I never sent out any closing comments or anything, but I just want to thank you all for joining this challenge! I know it's been helpful in keeping me accountable! And, we've all made progress! I hope everyone continues to do well! If anybody is up for some other sort of challenge or wants to extend the challenge to a certain date, I'm game! Just let me know! I hope you all had a great New Years!
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
