Welcome to the **February** Challenge!

If you’ve participated before, welcome back for another month! To all those who have not done this challenge (or any other) welcome aboard newcomers!
If you are new, please tag this thread so that you can find your way back in the future.

The challenge is pretty easy & does NOT require a long-term commitment. You pick a goal weight, and post your progress each week. You are NOT in competition with the other challengers—in fact, you are encouraged to cheer each other on. This is about having a reason to stay motivated throughout the month’s weight loss journey and having a place to post your progress to help you stay on track--some "extra" accountability for your actions because you know you aren't the only one who will "see" the results.

We'll have 4 weekly weigh-ins for February plus the start. Our weekly weigh-in dates are February 8, 15, 22, and March 1, 2010 for final weigh in.

Weigh-in days are changed to Monday coinciding with the first of the month.

Normally, spreadsheet results will be posted within 24 hours after weigh in date and will appear as a link at the bottom of this post.

So depressing yesterday when I got on the scale and saw that it went up (sorry, couldn't get to a comp yesterday, had too many errands to run).  The gain isn't b/c I've eaten bad, not sure why I gained.

amber_poole, next week will be better and you still have a loss.  Stay positive.

tstapletl, good loss. Average daily calories: is supposed to be what you've actually eaten and 1200 is not enough for your body. Check out Phord's site.

amymarieky, no you don't suck but maybe you need to get on better speaking terms with yourself. ;-) Revamp the meal plan and strive for tomorrow' success.

Comments: Sorry for the late posts. Been consistent with 1 lb. a week and hope to maintain the loss. Been super busy with work so no time for much exercise but counting calories have helped me stay on track with maintenance and a little bit of loss here  & there.

I'm posting a little early since I don't know if I'll have a chance to post tomorrow.  At any rate, I'm getting a little annoyed with this - I can't seem to get these numbers moving.  I'm really going to have to sit down and think this through to try and work out what's going on.  I'm feeling discouraged.  That said, I'm a fighter and I'll get this, even if it takes me 100 tries.

Add comments Back to another week: Alright what a month!!! I went on two trips and a big week in Greece, did well this week and lost all the weight I gained from there. Back on track to lose this weight for good, I have nothing really going on in March therefore Im going to make it my goal to lose this week for good this month!! Anyways at least i lost .8 pounds this month all together and didnt gain ..hooray! Ready for marchs challenge!

Ughhh...I had surgery last friday, not expected! Now I am on bedrest, and frustration got the better of me! Now, I am back on, to lose at least 3 lbs this month...3 more weeks for that!

02/14:

While the "loss" looks nice on the scale I  realize that there is water weight and retention and stuff kind of confusing things a bit. Back to work on Monday which means I do get to work out again...

02/22: I am officially recovered...I went for am runs Sat. and Sun. and made 5k...so I am feeling pretty good this Monday!

03/01: I did not make my goal...but I got very close. So March can be even better, since it is a longer month!
