Hi everyone! I'm Jessica, I live in California. I'm going to be 27 tomorrow, and I have a 7 month old baby girl. I am 5'5. I weighed 115 lbs when I got married 2 years ago. Being married + pregnancy, now I am 140 pounds. I'd really like to get down to at least 125. I am still breast feeding 2 times a day, but I'm not sure for how much longer.

After having a couple birthday festivities this week (dinners, plus cake...eeek) I'm not sure this Fridays weight is going to have a good outcome, but I'm in this for the long haul. good luck everyone...we can do this!!!

some of this weight-in is water retention as yesterday was the 22nd anniversary of my wedding nuptials. could have been worse though, i did pass on the alcohol.  :o)

have a great week everyone!

Hi all! Got a bit distracted this morning and forgot to post after I weighed in but here I am! Ready to go and get started!! Woo hoo! 161 is a good starting point for me though I'm at the end of TOM. I'm hoping that my good work over the weekend will result in a drop in the next few days after TOM water weight disappears. Good luck everyone!! :)

Oh, I just got a chance to read the posts on the previous page and realized I didn't introduce myself. I'm Claire, I live in Boston, single mom with 2 kids - 9 and 6. I'm 41. Been on CC for 3 years now but as others, done too much yo-yo-ing and I'm working hard to break the cycle. Though I'm hoping to eventually get back to 140 or so, my goal for the 12 weeks is to lose about 5-6lbs. I've learned that setting more achievable goals is the very important for me. I was flirting with 157 prior to Christmas so I don't think it will be too hard to get back there. I was part of this group last spring and summer but bought a house this past summer and got plowed under working on renovations, settling the kids in to a new school, etc.

Hi All!! Great to see so many joining.  This is my 3rd go round in this challenge- everyone's been great!!  I'm 41 and a mother of 2 boys-11 & 9, married.  I've been at this for quite some time, but I can honestly say I really haven't put forth much effort in most areas.  I do good for a while then totally slack off.  I believe my family may be making some really big changes and I want to get this weight off before all the stress hits.  I am really determined this time.  Already had an excellent week-and exercised 6 days in a row last week and was good keeping track of food-at least until the weekend.

Have a great week!!

My name is Dean.  I have just started my first job after college and have come to the realization that I dont wont to end up like my parents in the long run.  I figure im only 24 years old and there is still a chance to change.  In high school I was the 6'3" 225lbs guy that excelled in all sports.  Now I have trouble even when I just want to play some pick-up basketball.  I know that I will not reach my goal of 225 by the end of this challenge but I hope to achieve a much smaller goal of getting under 300lbs for the first time in almost 2 years.  So far I am the biggest guy on here and hope that reading your updates and seeing your progress inspires me!

Here goes

Week 1 - Jan 9: 340.0

Best of luck to everyone.  See your Friday and in between.

Dean

Howdy ya'll, happy Monday! I'm 42 years old, 5'10". I have 3 kids ages 15, 13, and 10 (shudder, I'll have 3 teenagers in just over 2 years :P). I started at 280.5 pounds back on December 4th, 2011. I love walking daily with my wife and I've been working hard on eating healthy again, making the lifestyle change to eat right. I'm an avid reader, work on computers as a hobby and am a computer programmer by profession. My wife is also overweight, we both have about 100 pounds to lose. I have a slightly ambitioius goal of losing 20 pounds during the challenge, we'll see if it happens :). It appears I am the second heaviest guy on the challenge at the moment.

@bucfan1512- I hope you make your goal as well!

@jt4bama - Wonderful goal and hope you get there.

Hello. I'm a mother of two grown daughters, 21 and 23 years old, I am 54 and 5'6". At my highest weight (214 lbs) six years ago, I had a debilitating stroke--at 48 years old. I'm doing very well now, but I weigh 179.8, having just re-started WW again and lost 3.2 lbs my first week. My overall weight goal is 135 lbs. On this challenge I'd like to lose 20 pounds, which would put me in the 150's for the first time in about 15 years. But I'm highly motivated, so here goes!

Thank you, runyourlife, for starting this challenge!! Smile

Hi all, I'm very excited to be here as I really need support and encouragement to stick to counting calories! If you noticed i've gone missing then feel free to kick my arse back in line :D

I am 27 and I have a one year old son. I'm in Australia so I will be working in kilograms rather than pounds. My goal weight is 67kgs (I'm currently 86kg), I would be thrilled to get under 80kg by the end of this challenge. Since having my son I have battled with depression and anxiety and so I've put on weight quite fast in the past year (while all my mothers group friends have been losing their baby weight, I have just been adding to mine :I) it's been really embarrassing and I really want to feel great and look healthy again.

If anyone wants to be one of my 'supporters' I will return the favour and look out for you in return :)

Peace out!

Hi All!!! I’m 29 years old, 5’2 and weigh 70.2kg (154.2lbs); I’m also quite muscly, which I hate because I would prefer to have a leaner look. I seem to have spent most of my adult life on one diet or another; I wish I could stop falling back on old habits and gaining all the weight back, so here I am once again trying to lose weight.

So far so good. I feel great! It is only the second day, but I am off to a good start. Hope you all are doing good.
Reminding myself that "Pain is weakness leaving the body." Rocking the full body muscle ache from hard sessions at the gym, and loving it.

Hi everyone! I'm 32 years old, 5'6" tall and currently at 191lbs. I've ossilated between overweight and obese all my life and there isn't a fad diet out there that I havn't tried. It took me a lot of time but finally I have realised that the only way to lose and sustain the weight loss is by respecting my body by healting healthy and staying fit.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
