FULL YEAR 2010 CHALLENGE OPEN TO NEWCOMERS AND THOSE CONTINUING THE SPRING TO FALL CHALLENGE OF 2009; Updated 8/18/10

This is a continuation of a challenge we have been doing since April, 2009.  I really want to welcome anyone starting off the new year of 2010 to start this challenge and those who participated in this challenge in 2009 to stay on board or come back. 

We'll post our weights at least every Sunday and see how we are doing each week (Don't worry if you miss a Sunday).  Post your starting weight and goal weight for the end of the year 2010 or keep the starting weight you posted if you like and are continuing from 2009.  Sunday or Monday night I'll post the weights I have.  Please join, it should be fun and a long enough time (12 months) for us to see great results through the Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.  :)

You can email me or post here your weight each Sunday/Monday and I will then each week list the current weight on this list.   If you email; please add me as a buddy.  If you don't see your name or an abbreviation, email me.  Looking forward to the challenge and any inspiring ideas each week you have send my way or post .  If you don't want to post your weight, then just email me your pounds lost. 

New members:  Feel free to start 2010 with this challenge and join us.  :)  Here is the updated list and we'll start Sunday, January 10th to see if we have lost any pounds.  Enjoy.  :)

That's great..end on your birthday.  :)  I think this will be a lot of fun.  I'm looking forward to this fun challenge.  Also, feel free to email me with any questions, make me a buddy, vice-versa, share journals.  This will be a great six months and I think we will all do well. 

Sounds like good motivation! I am at 142 lbs now, my goal is 130 lbs.

I've got about 20-30lbs to lose by the time I go to university on 5th October, so the timing of this is pretty good! 

Starting Weight - somewhere above 150 but below 154... I'll get an exact weight for monday

Goal Weight - 126lbs, maybe a little less (with the logic that I'm bound to gain 5-10lbs at uni)

Interval goal weights

24 May - 147

10th June - 143

10 July - 139

5th August - 137

22nd August - 130 

5th October - 123-126

Very slow weight loss, but if I can keep to that I'll be a very happy bunny =]

Tandy, we are practically twins!  Here's my list:

My goal weight is 140, but I wouldn't complain if I were to magically find myself at 135!

I'm in. I'm 5'1.5" and about 161 right now. If I could get down to 130-135 that would be great!

I've been off and on with calorie counting for a while now. I really buckled down and started up again last summer when I hit an all time high of 177 or so, by mid Oct I was down to about 157 and now I'm back up a few pounds and ready to get back in it!

Okay Ed, I'm in!  my current weight is 124 and my goal weight is 110.  It would be so perfect if I get to 110 before I run my first full marathon scheduled on October 18, the Nike Women Half Marathon in San Francisco.

 

Count me in.   I am starting at 163 at 5' 10".  GW 145-150 depending on how much muscle I put on. 

I'll see you all on Monday to give my new weight (I have to get  a new scale this weekend).

I'm game.

I've lost 16.8 pounds so far and currently weigh 190.2

It was suggested that I should get down to 140 based on my height, but frankly, I'd be tickled pink with 150.  My boyfriend and I aren't into the skinny look and as I recall from back when I was 150...that's plenty skinny for this girly.  We'll see!

we're like almost like a mirror to each other right now :) - I'm also 5'2", I was 119 lbs then I gained about 6 lbs during winter season - now I'm 124 and my ultimate goal is 110 and maintain it from there, maybe with a flactuation of 1-2 lbs more or less.  I have 14 lbs to lose right now and you only have 12 - that is so doable.  I lost 20 lbs in 3 months 2 years ago, that's how I got down to 119 then.  I know I can do it again - now it would be even more fun doing it with everyone in a challenge. 

 

Sounds great!  This weekend, I'll make a chart and post everyone.  If you get a chance make me your friend and let me know if I haven't make you my friend.  It makes sending messages easier I believe.  I'm excited and I think we'll find this a fun and bonding experience.  TGIF and have a great weekend!

What day will we weigh in?

Start weight 168...want to get down to 140 by August so this will be great motivation!!!!!

Okay, I'm in!  I am 5' 3" and would like to weigh a maximun of 115lbs when I do my marathon on May 29th.  I was 140lb when I started CC in mid January.

Today I weigh:121
My goal weight: 115, but I would love to continue on to 110.

(I would love to have more "friends" on CC)

It sounds like people would like to post their weigh-ins on Monday...does that work ...I'm fine if for some Sunday is better and for others Monday and then Monday night I can write them down and post it Tuesday.  Let me know...I believe in flexibility.  I probably late Monday or early Tuesday will post the latest weights posted.  :)

Sunday/Monday weight in's is fine with me.  Yes flexibility is the best.

 

Hi, I'm Jodie. I'm in for the challenge. My goal is 143 by Christmas.(I always like an impossible goal!) I started a new job on Monday. I haven't worked in 2 1/2 years!!!!! I started here on January 6th, And I've lost 29lbs. My current weight as of Tuesday was 211. I'm afraid to check my weight tomorrow because I've been doing more commuting than walking. We'll see!!!   I'm the overcompetitive type so maybe this challenge will kick my resolve into overdrive.
