One thing I decided to do to the challenge is to adjust your formula to your actual highest weight. Afterall, you have lost more than your initial weigh in. I think this is fair and encouraging. I will ask you before I adjust the formula, so its up to you.
So hurry up and get started

After about a week and a half of eating REALLY crappy (I probably averaged about 500 calories over my maintenance each day), and not going to the gym as often as I normally would have, I've been back on track for almost a week now. While it certainly set me back some, I am pleased to see that I didn't gain a ton of weight, and even lost a bit. I did adjust my goal a couple of pounds so I can still hopefully reach it.
I am so late but I'm in!!!
NAME: Achaia
STATE OR COUNTRY: South Carolina
LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF:
I've been overweight most all my life but it got out of control in the 6th/7th grade and I haven't been under 200 pounds since then. I've managed to lose 50 pounds about two years ago and have maintained that weight loss but it stopped there. I need to continue to lose this weight so i could possibly get off blood pressure meds and just be healthy overall. I don't want to be "skinny" as society views it but I would like to be in shape and able to go running, play tennis, go hiking, etc. with no problems. I just want to take better care of my body because only I can make it happen with support. I have received amazing support from CC already so I am looking forward to getting more motivation here.

5/17: HUH?? WHAAA??? Ok, NO idea how this happened, but I was pleasantly shocked outta my gourd! I have not hit the gym ONE day this week due to an injury in my calf I believe occurred with last week's mowing. I ate ok, stuck to the diet, but there were a couple of days where the hubby and I shared a pot of coffee instead of breakfast. So I don't understand the loss, but I will be more than happy to take it!! :)
Bad part is that the Cortisone shot didn't work for hubby's knee, so we have surgery scheduled for next Friday (25th). :( The ONLY reason why it's so late is this weekend is his birthday and his brother is coming down for a few days :) So I will have my once-a-month cheat day this Saturday. Even my cheat days aren't terribly bad, not like I ate before I started all this!! :)
Cris, that's awesome! Congrats.
Achaia, Late or not, doesn't matter. You're here! Welcome and happy loosing.

Total loss this month: 2.2 lbs
I'll just keep pecking at it bit by bit. Next week we are going to visit our son and fam, who live in the Pittsburgh area. So two weeks from today I'll know how well I have been fed when I weigh-in again.
My original goal was to break the 200 mark by my birthday. That will not happen and now the 210 mark is questionable also. However, that said, my trend overall is downward.
Signed up with Curves yesterday. Am starting on the first Monday in June. They were offering a free one month long trial membership special. I do have a bit of a drive to go there, but when you live in the country, that's life I guess. We'll see how it goes. Am looking forward to trying out all their machines.
Hang in there everyone
So, I have a gain this week . . but it is TTOM and I always gain at least 2 lbs. during this time, so I am not worried. I WILL have a loss next week! Love that summer is here - LOVE IT! Supposed to reach 90 degrees here today.

Down 6 pounds and have to admit I am not really trying. Been working 75-hour weeks and living on Yogurt and PBJ sandwiches. It's what I eat when I get home that is the killer. It's usually after 9:00 p.m. sometimes as late as 10:30. I eat whatever is cooked as it is better than not eating at all. My clothes from last summer are now loose on me. LOVE THAT!

LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF:
I joined in 2009 and with the help of CC I ended up losing 45 pounds. I looked better than I ever have, and was only 15 pounds away from my goal weight, and then I got pregnant and completely let myself go. Now I'm heavier than I have ever been, and my baby is 6 months old, so it's time to get back into my old habits and lose the weight again.

So proud of myself! I really think my goal is achievable. I actually have not been counting calories. It seemed like every time I tried I got too obsessed with the numbers. So finally I started managing portions and eating healthier foods in general, and it seems to be working like a charm. I have also FINALLY incorporated exercise, so that is probably helping. I'm even more excited because I'm actually in the middle of my TOM, so who knows how much my weight will drop when it's over. =)
Gonna have a fun night watching the solar eclipse tonight with my family! I live in Cedar City, Utah so I'm right in the sweet spot! Woo! Hope everyone else that sees it will enjoy it as well! Have a good week everyone!
