Welcome to the **November** Challenge!

If you’ve participated before, welcome back for another month! To all those who have not done this challenge (or any other) welcome aboard newcomers!
If you are new, please tag this thread so that you can find your way back in the future.

The challenge is pretty easy & does NOT require a long-term commitment. You pick a goal weight, and post your progress each week. You are NOT in competition with the other challengers—in fact, you are encouraged to cheer each other on. This is about having a reason to stay motivated throughout the month’s weight loss journey and having a place to post your progress to help you stay on track--some "extra" accountability for your actions because you know you aren't the only one who will "see" the results.

We'll have 4 weekly weigh-ins in November plus the start. Our weekly weigh-in dates are November 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2009 for final weigh in.

Weigh-in days are changed to Sunday coinciding with the first of the month. If you want to change the day, please let me know. If you weigh a different day for some specific reason, do so, but please report it on Sunday for statistical purposes of this thread. Thanks.

Normally, spreadsheet results will be posted by within 24 hours after weigh in date but for this month it will be 2-3 days and will appear as a link at the bottom of this page.

I could use something to challenge me - I seem to need an extra push lately.  So, I'll join and set a modest goal of 5 lbs by the end of the month.

About me:I'm a SAHM, I have 3 little monster, 2 girls 1 boy.  All were born in Dec.  so that adds to the bad food month.  I have been married for 10 years been together for 15.  I have PCOS but with weight gone it is being controlled.  Since starting this time I have lost 78.6 lbs.  That's is just over the current weight of my oldest child.  I have 41.4 lbs to goal be in the middle of my healthy weight. I'm short.

I think 6lbs is an achievable goal considering the upcoming holidays and family birthdays!  I originally listed a 5lb goal, but would rather aim high and not make it, than aim low and not push hard enough!

I found CC the day I stepped on the scale and saw 200!  I knew I was creeping up, but that was my "ah ha" moment.  The only other time I saw that "2" was the day I delivered my first son.  Didn't see it when I delivered son #2! 

I've been sick the past week, so I will post my weight and goal after my Oct end of month challenge weigh in.  I won't be reaching my goal for this month, but I was aiming super high and didn't count on spending 10 days sick!  Gotta love kids in daycare.

I was a registered nurse for 11 years b/f taking time off to stay home with the kids.  Now I'm back in school taking a refresher course to get me back to work.  I'm actively looking for work, and have a husband that is on active duty.  He is currently gone for the month, so our lives are never predictable. 

My ultimate goal is to be in the 135-145 range.  I will know it when I get there.

Dang, it's been hard lately for me to stay on track. I did so well for 07/08, losing slowly and consistently, but the scale is slowly creeping back up.

But I am rebelling against myself... no more!

It's kind of a bummer I stayed the same the last fews months, but this time last year is when I was gaining 20lbs, so maintaining isn't that bad by comparison.  I'm still going to try hard to break my platue and get into the 240's this month Innocent

I only lost 3 last month. I am going for a goal of 145-150 by my family reunion next June. I'd settle for 160 even. But, I'd love to be out of the 200's by the end of November.

I love to eat, so I relapse a lot. I ADORE healthy food, but for some reason, I have weird cravings for junk and self-sabotage. My self-sabotage and stress eating has led me to go from my lowest weight of 119... to my highest of 156.. and more recently from 135 to 145 (in a month). I'm now 141 and trying to create some BALANCE GOD DAMNIT!!! :P I'm a very noticeable pear shape so its also hard for me to stay motivated if I always have a nice stomach and just in general being small up top. 33-27-40 .. My thighs.. 3 inches smaller than my waist. *GAR!!*

October has been really awkward for me all around.  It's important to me personally that I take actual action and not just say that "I will try harder next time".  I have some ideas for how to address November.  

1) I am going to sit down this weekend and plan out my meals for the week so that I'm not trying to grab random unhealthy items from the 'food court' at work or out of the fridge at 10pm when I get home.  I bought a cooler so that I can pack my entire day's worth of healthy meals and snacks, according to my calorie target, and take it to work.  Once the cooler is empty, so are my opportunities for food. ;)  I'm thinking that, if I'm more diligent with sticking to the calorie intake, I will have a little more success this month.  

2) Also, I will aim to add back in at least two days at the gym each week and one day of walking my neighborhood (I love to walk!).  I haven't had the time to go to the gym at all since September and I'll probably have to work back into it. 

Those are my two action points!

I hope no one minds if I weigh in on Fridays (I usually spend the entire weekend at my boyfriends house and I don't have access to a scale but I'd still like to participate). 142.2 is a pound down from yesterday so I'm going to take it with a grain of salt. I have yet to reach my goals in the two months I've participated but I can't complain as I have lost 11 pounds since starting in August. This month I would like to reach the 130's (which I don't remember ever being in) so we'll see what happens. Good luck everyone Smile
