3rd Quarter 2010 Challenge JOIN ANYTIME! (July 1st-September 30th)

Welcome one and all!  This challenge is a 3rd quarter challenge for the year 2010.  Anyone can join and there are no rules, except pick a day that is good for you to Weigh in Consistently.  Don't worry, if you miss a few.  The key here is to log at least once a week.  So go ahead and tag this and come back!  If you are new and need help let me know and I will give you information on how to tag the topic.

July 1st - September 30th, 2010 is the run time for the challenge

I ASK THIS TIME AROUND THAT NO ONE EDITS THEIR ORIGINAL POSTS IF THEY WANT THEIR TOTALS INCLUDED IN THE SPREADSHEET.  THIS IS TIME CONSUMING TRYING TO UPDATE MY SPREADSHEET SO I CAN MAKE THIS A REAL CHALLENGE AND POST WEIGHT UPDATES FOR THE MONTH., ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU POST ON THE DAY YOU WANT TO POST.    thanks

 For purposes of starting the spreadsheet, I will start posting weights to that on Monday's.  THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO BE YOUR WEIGH-IN DAY.  My goal is to post total lost two days after the month has ended.  This will enable those in different time zones to not be left out.  At the end of the challenge I will post a range and people's name.

One thing I decided to do to the challenge is to adjust your formula to your actual highest weight. Afterall, you have lost more than your initial weigh in.  I think this is fair and encouraging.

The scale is working in my favor this week.  I feel great and I am really motivated to keep this weight coming off.  I have signed up for 5 5k's between Sept-Dec so I definitely have something to work towards.

 

CW:  238     This is up 1 pound since last week. I really don't understand what is going on because I have gone down another size in my jeans. Some tops I bought a month ago are getting too big. People are telling me I look like I'm losing weight BUT I'M NOT, I'M STAYING THE SAME. I hate it. This has been months and months AND months that I am not losing. It is so discouraging to get on the scale, expect it to be down and it's exactly where it was or up.

I have a bracelet that I got as a gift for Mothers' Day that barely fit around my wrist at the smallest part. Now that bracelet is sliding 3 inches down my arm. I am afraid not to weigh myself because then I may get complacent and tell myself I am losing. That could easily slip into eating more. I know how my brain works, always playing games.

My blood lipid panel is outstanding, my glucose numbers are amazing, it's just that lousy scale that won't cooperate. I'm not giving up.  Onward and downward!

By me posting these recognitions, by no means does this mean you should be at their total loss.  It is just a mere recognition for those who might want to contact them or request they post a food log, exercise log for how they have accomplished this.

Thank you for the "shout out" i'll call it!  And wow!  Had no idea my losing was "in 2nd place" for this group/challenge.  

I'll let you all it on my secret right now..  P90X!  I started the program on July 4 and have missed a few workouts in their correct rotation but have made them up since.  I drink at least 6-8 500mL water bottles every day.  I don't "log" calories or literally count but do keep a running total in my head.  I have cut down on alcohol..  if i do have one it is half strength and only one.  I keep to around 1800 calories maybe more to fuel my P90X workouts..  and I DO weigh in every morning (before water/breakfast, after bathroom visit) but have stopped STRESSING about any fluctuations!  I feel like I totally know how the "game" is played.  :)

Not a HUGE loss this week but I am still really happy to see some kind of a loss. I have't fully been able to quit smoking. I will try again soon. I've decided to try a 30-Day alchohol free challenge and see how that helps me. Right now I am at 4/30. The weekend will be the toughy to get through.. but I can AND will do this. It's been something I've been putting off for far too long and it hinders my weightloss.. I know it does.
