LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF:

CURRENT WEIGHT:

GOAL WEIGHT:

AGE:

DAY YOU'D LIKE TO WEIGH IN

Name: (Jamie) OPTIONAL

State: (Ohio) - like to do this so I don't miss anyone for weekly stats. Several times, people have missed out because of the time zone difference. So, if you want to see your name in LIGHTS, when you have accomplished so much, please provide it.

If you'd like to give a little brief information about yourself that would be great!  Possibly meet new people to be friends with. (ie.,  attempts on losing weight, special dietary constraints, motivation for this journey things like that).

SW for Challenge: 278.2

GW for Challenge:  270 (10% OF YOUR CURRENT WEIGHT IS SUGGESTED) I AM DOING LESS BECAUSE I LOSE AT A SLOWER RATE

August Challenger 7% of SW unless it is midway then 5.5

September Challengers 5% or 4% of SW.  This is to keep you motivated to stay with the challenge.

Experts say 10% of your body weight is reasonable to lose in a 3 month  period.  You must take into consideration if you had already lost a reasonable amount of weight that your may hit a plateau during this challenge.  Don't get discouraged.

Height: 5'3

AGE: 48

Day you like to weigh: Saturday

One challenger was wondering what is reasonable for weight loss.  The answer is 10% of your current body weight.

Welcome one and all!  This challenge is a 3rd quarter challenge for the year 2011.  Anyone can join and there are no rules, except pick a day that is good for you to Weigh in Consistently.  Don't worry, if you miss a few.  The key here is to log at least once a week.  So go ahead and tag this and come back!  If you are new and need help let me know and I will give you information on how to tag the topic.

YOUR POST IF YOU WISH TO BE INCLUDED ON THE SPREADSHEET WHERE I POST THE WEE"day's.  THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO BE YOUR WEIGH-IN DAY.  My goal is to post total lost two days after the month has ended.  This will enable those in different time zones to not be left out.  At the end of the challenge I will post a range and people's name.

One thing I decided to do to the challenge is to adjust your formula to your actual highest weight. Afterall, you have lost more than your initial weigh in.  I think this is fair and encouraging.  I will ask you before I adjust the formula, so its up to you.

So hurry up and get your name added!  Whats stopping you?

My starting weight was 281, and I went up to 287 now currently 278.2. So see, it does matter!!!

Take care and Best of luck. . . . God Bless.

I am both dreading and looking forward to this challenge. Now that it is summer and kids are out of school, I have no gym time! I will really have to stay on top of my eating and logging. But OHHH the REWARDS! A happier lighter me. I can't wait! Laughing

I really need to figure out my problem right now.  It has to be my food, because I am excercising probably 5-6 days a week.  I have been watching what I eat, but maybe I need to eat more.  I haven't logged my calories in awhile so I guess I need to get back to doing that.  With 3 kids going every which way my time is limited.  2 will be off to school in mid August so that will help a bit, but I will still be working and bringing 3rd child to work with me.

Welcome Previous challengers to the 3rd quarter NEW challenge for 2011.

Please make a new entry when you post your starting weight. I have included what information you have supplied.  If you didn't post your day of weigh in, state/country and name I went ahead and took that from the 2nd quarter challenge.

Thanks you guys.

Welcome HerbalTea!  You will really enjoy this group of supportive challengers! See everyone lighter later.

Take care and God Bless. . .

Little About Yourself:  I feel like I've been on every diet in the world.  One year I decided to take the healthy eating challenge at New Year's with my church.  I did very good with the challenge.  I want to try another challenge.  This sounds like a good one.

Definitely looking forward to the Q3 challenge. My last weigh-in for Q2 is in 2 days, and I'm close to reaching my goal! I'll update my starting weight once I finish up the Q2 challenge. Today is day 1 on my official Triathlon training, which is taking place in September. I'm hoping that the TRI training will assist in getting me to my Q3 goal. Happy weigh-in's all!

Deehall,

I know you can do this!!  I originally started out at 257.7 and you can see by my above post where I am at now and how tall I am.  I'm 46 so am not a youngun.

A little about me:  I'm a student, studying Economics and Political Science/International Relations. I just returned from a year abroad studying in London.  The year was amazing, but after a few too many beers, I've reached my highest weight. Now I'm slowly starting the road to regaining my health. I've started T.E.A.M Weightloss at Lifetime, and cannot wait to see results.  Can't wait to hear some of your stories and motivational strategies!

Unabletolose, I think you need a new name.  Great job on your weight loose.  Please share your plan with me.  What have you done to change things and to make you more successful.  I find that it takes me nearly a month to start loosing even a few pounds.  2 months to lose maybe 6 -10 pounds.  By the third month, I am so tired of trying.  This time, I want to go longer than 2 or 3 months.  I have all of this weight on me and it didnn't appear over night.  I really want to do it this time.  Any help you can give a fellow "Unabletolose" sister would be helpful and appreciated.  Thanks

Thanks for the welcome 1heavenly

And 'unabletolose' I too am eagerly interested in your story - I could use some real good hope right about now and sounds like you've found the secret to some real success.

Mike,

England

A very disappointing second quarter with no weight loss. I have now got myself a running partner, my Bedlington Terrier.  I'm hoping that cycling to work, running and diet will work for this quarter.....and I don't want to be too embarassed when I go to the beach in August.

183cm tall

Current weight 234

First Goal 220 by August 5.

Aged 47

Like to weigh in on Fridays

Deehall and Letich Welcome to this challenge also.  We have many returning challengers and I am sure you will be happy with the support you receive from everyone!

The most important goal in this challenge is to log every week.  Even if it is not your regular day, go ahead and do it.  Life gets in the way at times, and that is when you need us the most!

Mike, I hope to see you more often and if you do run with your dog, make sure he doesn't out run you and get away! LOL.... Awe there is a short story about that!

Well.  . .. If anyone ever has questions I am here for you. Just let me know. If you need more personal support than the forum, let me know and I'll see about emailing you everyday and seeing how your day went.

Take care and God Bless.

LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF:  I'm in college for the 3rd time in my life, to become an Ultrasound Technician.  I used to be a High School Science teacher.  I absolutely loved teaching my juniors and seniors, but the education department (more the admins at my school) didn't like my style of teaching and my superintendent told me that all the extra stuff I did for my kids and my school didn't count... only the single observations each semester counted...  Surprised  I might possibly go back into teaching later, at the college level, but I'm excited about my new career.  Now I just have to get through the program...  I'll graduate next December.  I've been unemployed for a little more than a year, and I'm having a hell of a time finding a job.  (perhaps they are afraid I want too much $$?  Minimum wage would be fine with me!!!)

Anyway, I'm with my parents for now, and my mom and I are losing together.  She has been house bound for about 12 years now, partly due to her weight... that's another story.

Good luck to everyone! I can't wait to see everyones' successes!!!

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
