Experts say 10% of your body weight is reasonable to lose in a   3 month  period.  You must take into consideration if you had already   lost a reasonable amount of weight that your may hit a plateau during   this challenge.  Don't get discouraged.

Welcome one and all!  This challenge is a 3rd quarter challenge for the year 2012.  Anyone can join and there are no rules, except   pick a day that is good for you to Weigh in Consistently.   if you miss the day when you regularly weigh in go ahead and do it when you remember to keep you current in the weeks spreadsheet.  The key here is to log at least once a  week.  So go  ahead and tag this and come back!  If you are new and need  help let me  know and I will give you information on how to tag the  topic.

REMEMBER to let me know if you won't be weighing in so I don't delete you from the spreadsheet. After about 2=3 weeks depending on how you are with regularly logging is whether I will keep you in the challenge. If you are removed, you can always be added back, its just I want to keep the spreadsheet current so those that regularly log don't get overlooked for accolades because someone didn't log since they had a gain and didn't want that to show. Oh well . . . Thats is all>

One thing I decided to do to the challenge is to adjust   your formula to your actual highest weight. Afterall, you have lost more   than your initial weigh in.  I think this is fair and encouraging.  I   will ask you before I adjust the formula, so its up to you.

Good week-broke into the 170's (again) and did alot of fun things with my son.  I have a busy week ahead and thank God the temperature dropped 20 degrees today.  hopefully I will go for a few walks this week.

Count me in! I disappeared for the last half of June but I am back. Was on vacation all last week so a little late to the game here.

I've got my work cut out for me. Have been gaining instead of losing weight since the end of May. Ugh!

I have been dieting for as long as I can remember. I started calorie count in March of 2007 at 275pds. I came close to my goal weight (125) last year (135.5), but in that last year I have now gained a total of 45 pounds back. I am looking for a new challenge or motivation to get back on track. After 5 years of dieting and some personal/emotional set backs I am ready to start anew. My biggest pitfalls are binge eating/mindless eating out of boredom and stress. I do great during the week and set myself back on the weekend. So I am hoping that if I have people to work along side with I will get meyself back on the right path.

I am a 29 yr old SAHM to two boys. I joined cc last summer while training for my first 5k/obstacle race and lost 15 lbs. Now here I am a year later and i have put back on 7. I have another race I have signed up for at the end of october and I have been struggling to get ANY motivation to start training and whittle away what I have regained + some. I am a vegetarian who does some dairy restriction but have been burned out with all of the cooking from scratch so I know my diet has been lacking the last month or so. I have been relying way to much on carbs/peanutbutter/sugar/whatever is there. Esp. with how hot it has been, cooking is the last thing I want to do. I also was having some health issues that discouraged me from continuing my training after the race. To top it off my gym closed so that was just another mental block I needed to get past. Now my issues have resolved and I have a new gym. I just need to stop being lazy, eat for energy and get out there!

Hi guys!

Just to let you know Jamie, I won't be weighing in on the 13 July (this Friday) or the 20th because I'm on holiday!

Thought I'd let you know its not because I will be falling off the wagon!

So tired after a tough cardio session, I'm sure I will conk out as soon as my head hits the pillow. I'm currently enjoying a lovely meal of quinoa and veggie mince, yum!! 

Okay weigh in day

July 2nd: 70Kg

July 9th: 68Kg (I suspect part of last week's 70Kg was the weekend binge).

I tired my best to avoid mindless eating over the weekend, I did pretty well I think, although it could have been better. I will try harder next weekend. Another thing I need to work on is my food portions, they are too big. One step at a time......

Hi Jamie, Sorry for having been below the radar. Came back Tuesday from a week at my daughter's helping with the newborn. (Pics in my Gallery) Then had to get caught up on a lot of things. I ran another 5K last night - 4,000 people in downtown Milwaukee. For all of you that say you can't run and want to - try couch to 5K. I used a podcast that told me when to run and when to walk. I can now run for 30 minutes without stopping. It feels so good - and also to be out with other people having fun! I am going to try standup paddle boarding this weekend (standing up on a surfboard with a long paddle to move you through the water) I've heard it great for overall body workout as well as cardio and core (since you have to balance, it works your core) Hope everyone has a great week.

I didn't do so well this week, I ate too much at the beginning of the week at a restaurant and am lucky I didn't gain more than I did!

Happy about the one pound loss this week. Though, when I consider that at the beginning of spring I was at 142, not so happy. But, I have done it before and will do it again, and then some. And hopefully stay there!

Did good this week, but I always do good during the week. It's the nights and weekends that kill me. Could have done better if I didn't do so much late night eating. Still way up from this time last year. Lots of water weight lost this week.
