Roll Call February 2012 Exercise Challenge!!!

Quote  |  Reply

How much do you want to exercise a month? How can you push yourself out that door when the last thing you want to do is go to the gym? Easy - Challenge yourself!!! Pick a goal and work towards it!!!

What is exercise you ask?
It is whatever you do over and above your normal everyday activity. If you start taking the stairs instead of the elevator due to your wanting to improve your health this is exercise - if you park further from the door and walk extra - this is exercise. However if your work requires you to be on your feet running around all day - this is lifestyle and not exercise and should be added to your "activity level" in your account. I think its important for you to be honest with yourself so you will truly get the benefit of this challenge.

Sign ups always open -- do not post a goal until you have actually worked out!!

Please post in the following format - accumulated time worked out/ goal it
is your responsibility to keep track of your totals the timekeepers can not do this for you- also post new post and don't update an older post as the timekeepers work from last post to the post of the last person who updated.

We're almost at the halfway point challengers!! Some of us are close or past our halfway point. Not me.... ;)  but that gives me the opportunity to think about my schedule and make plans on how I can change my schedule to make my goal. I hope it helps you do the same. :)  And my inspirational quote for the day:

It doesn't get easier you just get stronger.

@weirdfish: We don't have a definite schedule on when to do updates. At the moment, it's mostly Bob and I that are doing them but it's on a "when we have time" to do them. If Bob hasn't updated it then I usually try for every 5 days but obviously gotten behind. :)

Gotcha!  Thanks -- this is my first time doing this challenge, so I had no idea how that part worked, whether everything was compiled weekly, biweekly, or at the end of the month, etc.

Today's log:

2/14: Running, 7 miles -- 61 minutes

440/1000

And obviously we all appreciate the work you put into this!

Ran out of steam today, so I only finished 40 minutes on the treadmill.  Not looking too promising to reach my 2000 minute goal this month...but I keep showing up nonetheless.

670/2000

332/1500  long run today.

676/2350  walking

120 minutes running

1160/2000

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
