Welcome one and all! This challenge is a 1st quarter challenge for the year 2010. Anyone can join and there are no rules, except pick a day that is good for you to Weigh in Consistently. Don't worry, if you miss a few. The key here is to log at least once a week. So go ahead and tag this and come back!
We have a small group of people that have been doing this since the April 1st challenge of 2009, that I started, so I welcome you all back and wish you the best of luck this time around!

I posted this early so people can get a heads up of the link as requested in the 4th quarter 2009 challenge.
Here is how to tag the challenge for those of you that are new to the site.
First look at the bar of selections that say library, tag it. You need to click on tag it, Then name it. After you name it go to My account tab and it will have selections, Forum, Weight log, Recipe Log. Click on Forum. From there is will give you a list of items you tagged for that category. Search it and click on it and it will bring you to the link.

July 2, 2007 I weighed 313. Today January 27, 2010 I weigh 270. Just so you know at least slow and steady wins. My weight has stayed off even though it is taking a long time for that to happen.
Hi heavenly- I took your advice and read your journal post dated 1/18/10. It is a great one...thank you for sharing. I often think about that...I want to lose weight, but most importantly, I want to keep it off. Those slowly shedding pounds are the ones that manage to stay off. Slow and steady wins the race...Thank you!

Week 1- Lost 1/2 pound- 227 lbs(Dec 28)
Week 2- Lost 1/2 lb- 226.6 (Jan 8)
Week 3- Lost 1 lb- 225.6 (Jan 15)
Week 4- Lost 1.4 lbs = 224.2 lbs (Jan.22) So close to my 10 lb loss. :D

Well, didn't lose a darn pound last week. I was hoping to lose more then 7 pounds for the month of January...wanted to lose 10!. Well, I still have a few days, maybe I can get down to 8 or so. I am still very proud of myself and I will continue to work hard.

I really don't think I will make it to my goal of 217 by valentines day. It is only 2 weeks away and over 10lbs to lose but I'm on my way.
Hi everyone, lost 47 lbs. 46 more to go so I am oner the half way mark. up one lb this week to 203 but as I look at my chart is on a steady downhill line so that is good. It seems that I have trouble eating enough the last couple of weeks, lots more fruits and vegetables do not add up to the calorie intake that I use to have. Fiber intake is higher also, that is good. Last week was not a good week food wise. I was happy to see the scale only went up 1/2 lb. I spent most of the week not feeling well and on the go which meant lots of eating out and packaged foods. Feeling better now and schedule back to normal so hopefully this week will be better. Also plan on getting back on track with the exercise - January was a very poor month for exercise. February will be better!

I have edited my first post in this challenge, but thought it might be a good idea to add a new entry so I am not lost between the cracks.
January 31: 250 Down 3 pounds from two weeks ago. For the past 2 weeks my blood glucose numbers have been in the normal range. Even though my diabetes is not going away, I am happy it is under control for now.
Mrsvee : If you would like to tell me the post you are updating I will mark my spreadsheet with that as the reference number so you don't have to make two entries., But are most appreciated for letting me know.
That is super great about the blood sugars. I hope things keep looking up for you as with diabetes, it is a tricky disease and can be depressing.
I find unless you have diabetes or know someone who does, it is difficult to understand why there is not a significant weight loss.
If anyone is posting in their original journal post and you would like to ensure I am making the right entry for an accurate account of your individual and group, please reply to this post and I will go to the spreadsheet and reference it there. This is easier for me since each individual probably knows what number they are posting too. There are several people who have been going back between several DIFFERENT POSTS.
