Any weird side effects, pros, cons, feedback that I should know about?
Thanks!
I haven't experienced any side effects at all :-)
Okay, I have a question:
The instructions say to start taking them either the day of your period or the Sunday after your period.
A Sunday has already passed after my period, but can I go ahead and take them?
That just means that my cycle will be kind of off, right?
I just don't want to wait a whole month to start taking them...
Hi,
I have a question, Maybe someone can help me out. I have been on yaz for a week and my skin seems to look worse then it did before. did anyone else have that problem?
Also, how old before the pill clears up the skin ( if it does at all))?
Its day # 4 since i've been on YAZ. I was on Ortho Evra. I think i'm psychic because I always felt like Ortho Evra was too much. Anyways my gyno did tell me they found that the patch does secrete to much. I asked her about YAZ and she told me its great. I thought it would be too. However, I noticed I have been having a sudden urge to cry! I have nothing to cry about though. I looked up symptoms and thats the main thing people were talking about. I have never had acne so thats not a concern or mood swings because i'm a girl (there's no cure for our mood swings lol). I haven't gained any weight or felt the urge to eat everything. I'm just curious if anyone else has this mystery crying symptom or did? Will it go away?
Thanks a ton!
Me~
I have never posted anything before, but I have been a lurker for a while :-) I went on Yaz three monthes ago and I am just about to complete my third pack. When I first started Yaz, I freaked out. I have had hormone problems for a while now and my OB/GYN put me on BC to try and increase my levels a bit so I could actually get a period. She didn't know why my period was not coming, but I hadn't had it for a year and a half. She suggested a low dose pill because she didn't want to overload me with to many hormones all at once since my body was not used to them. Since I was not used to the hormones, my first month on Yaz was tough. My moods were eratic, my skin got bad, and I was convinced I was gaining weight. (I really wasn't) I was miserable, but I was told that it takes three monthes for everything to level out. I decided to be patient and atleast give it the three monthes my Dr. suggested. The second month was the worst initially. I became considerably much more bloated and my cravings for food became more intense. I wanted to cry all the time and was miserable. Once I got my period, the bloating went away and I lost like 4 lbs overnight! Also, all the mood problems stopped and I havn't felt them as intense since.
I am about to complete my third month and this is by far the best month yet! I recognized that my body reacts to the pill depending on the week. For example, the first week of the pack, I feel great. The second week is when the cravings for strange food come. I find that I am craving Frosty's and french frys all the time! The third week is the emotional week, and the fourth week is the bloating and cramping right before my period. All of these symptoms are not bad at all and are very mild. The only thing that really sucks for me is the bloating because it makes me feel uncomfortable in my clothes, but that goes away once my period ends. I have not gained any weight at all and my skin has begun to clear up, and my mood swings have become much much less. I encourage you anyone to stay on any sort of BC for three monthes or whatever time frame your Dr. gives you before making a choice. I am really glad I gave Yaz time becasue I really love it. I feel like a whole new girl compared to the the first month.
Sorry this is kinda long, but I want to give as much info as I can! Good luck to anyone on the pill!
i just got off of yaz after being on it since july of 07. it DID make my periods lighter, but i unfortunately experienced other side effects (all of which are listed somewhere within the huge list of side effects..) .. i got dry eyes, my hair had thinned like crazy, and i was experiencing nausea all the time. i have gallbladder problems now too, which just magically appeared a few months after starting yaz -- sure enough, gallbladder disease is listed as a potential side effect.
other than that, i had no problems with yaz. i didn't experience any weight gain or anything like that. everyone is different, that's just my experience.
well, every body is different, BUT, a couple years ago, I was on yaz for three months before I demanded something different from my GYN. I gained almost ten pounds without changing any eating habits so... I dunno. just keep it in check u know?
ive been taking yaz for a while now, id say almost 2 years, im not sure the exact date that ive been taking it since, but i know its a long time. i havent really noticed many side effects, except for im recently hearing that yaz has been linked to gallbladder issues, i recently had my gallbladder removed in december of 2008, i was only 19 at the time, so it was weird to my doctor that my gallbladder would be going out so soon, but he never really looked in to it after that, i have tenncare, so my doctor basically doesnt do much. but i also i have IBS now as well.
