If anyone knows what a bunion, can you please help me. I have a bunion on my left foot it's really pointed. Sometimes I get these sharp pains in it, even when I sit down and relax. I even have hard time walking for a long period of time or for long distances. I had heard that the only way to get rid of it is surgery and I don't got that kind of money right now is this serious or what. Please help?

Oh that sounds painful, sorry...It might not be a bunion, it could be a wart or something else but you probably want find out soon for sure by going to a foot doctor. Chances are its something minor you could get an inexpensive prescription for and not have to have any surgery. Everything will be ok, just get it checked out.
No I am pretty sure it's a bunion, because it is my bone that is sticking out right below my big toe, my foot looks deformed. My big toe is like pointing inward. I looked it up on the internet, and I showed my mom. They said people get them from wearing high heels, or shoes that don't fit correctly, or from walking differently.
I would still go see a doctor. Even if you can't afford surgery right now, you should get it properly cared for with their advice.
Its worth it, its your foot and its pain.

I am waiting for my husband to sign up for insurance through his work. But is'nt there anything I could do to treat it now.
I would avoid narrow shoes for now and stick to open wide toed shoes. I really don't know what you could do for the pain other than otc pain relievers.
The only thing I wear in the summer is sandles I never wair shoes in the summer I like the air flow on my feet, so my sandles are opened. But Thank You for trying to help me out.
I wish I could help more, good luck.
I have these on both feet and have to limit my walking/jogging. I elevate my feet at night when watching TV. I was told this was heriditary. There are cute stylish shoes which I find once in awhile, that are comfortable. Tthe higher the heel, the more pressure on the bunion and more pain.
HI,
It sounds like you do have a bunion. I did too! I have had mine since I was a kid, but December 2006 I had surgery to remove one (and i gained 12 pounds!!) the surgery is an option but only if its really painful and your desperate! My podiatrist said they are not caused from high heels, tight shoes, etc. He said that that was what was believed before, but bunions are just genetic some people have them all their lives and other get them once they're adults. the only thing that really worked for me were orthotics, although they're not cute. I know target also sells like bunion spacers/cushions but i've never used them, they may be worth a try. also do you know if your flat footed? this really makes the pain worse, just put some insoles in and that really helped me since I was flat footed as well.

Yeah I am flat footed. so if I go to target to purchase these spacer or whatever they might have. Then it will realign my toe. Because I really don't want to do the surgery. sO id your go away after you tried all of this. Does it ever go away, besides going under surgery
No, it won't go away unless you have surgery. All those things they sell at the store do is pad the bunion so it's less painful for you. The bunion usually grows really slow, so it takes years and years for it to change much or get worse. I would just wait until you get insurance and then have it looked at.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
