i wonder the same thing, i have heard to many different reasons. The electrolytes making water trying to rebalence or the stomach has shrunk or digestion has slowed down or the digestive enzymes have stopped being produced or we are retainging water. a lot of the reasons start with "after recovery begins bloating starts because.." but i had bloating long before recovery started. i had a flat tummy always because well i was anorexic and then one day i started getting bloated from the small thing i ate a day like i'd eat just a slice of pizza all dauy and bloat like it was a normal persons thanksgiving. so maybe no one knows why we bloat. i wish i knew then we could help ourselves.
Bloating outside of the belly area is just called swelling/edema. It's fluid accumulation. In the belly it's more pronounced because your digestive system is housed there. There is a lot of food and liquid sloshing around in there.
yes there is a lot of liquid and food in there but why won't it go anywhere ? i've been eating good for 9 months now and i still am very bloated full and constipated
