How do you count your calories after being sick.
So this morning I have a bowl of oatmeal with a glass of grapefruit juice. I also drank an 8 oz glass of water and took some multivitamin pills. About 15 minutes later that all came back up and out. How do you count the calories for that?
And no I don't typically get sick after eating a meal.
Don't bother, just take a calorie counting break. You're sick, you need the nutrients!
Don't bother... it's pointless. If you're physically sick & vomiting, the important things are to keep your fluids up and avoid dehydration. Rest the gut rather than giving the stomach more food to bring back and prolongue the sickness. When things have calmed down try something light like dry toast to test the waters. If you're sick for more than a day, consider seeing your doctor.
So I haven't eaten anything since, and the nausea is gone. Not sure what happened there. I feel fine right now, but am not sure if I should go for my daily 30 minute cardio session at lunch. (Stupid nausea, *grumble* *grumble*). I can't do the gym tonight because I finish work at 5 and then have a meeting from 6:30 to 10:00. I generally like to go to bed around 11. So that really makes it out of the question...
Just give yourself a break and take the day off. You can pick up your normal routine if you're still feeling better tomorrow.
flame, a little off topic but..could you maybe be pregnant? I saw your post in the baby fever thread, maybe you're about to get a pleasant suprise ;) wouldn't hurt to take a test

I thought this too, before knowing you had baby fever.
Nope pretty sure I am not pregnant. It seems I get a little sick just before that time of the month happens. Which is happening now. I went to the gym yesterday and had no problems. Ate well and am doing great today. I guess PMS can have all sorts of effects on your body. Thank you all for your responses and inquiries. With regards to the baby topic, I am hoping to convince my husband to get started on this in February, however as of right now he will only commit to a May start up. I have no idea why he is so fixed on that... but anyways it takes two to tango as they say.
