If you are suffering from depression go and see a doctor and get a referal
execise is good for depression so keep with the exercise and healthy eating too will also help with depression
you need foods that contain tryptophan and b vitamins
so eat healthily and exercise and both will help with the depression that in turn will help with the self esteem issues
you can make changes to your life but they wont happen over night

The best thing I could suggest is to find some type of support system. If your family isn't helping see if you can find a friend, school counselor, a co-worker, somebody you can connect with on this site, etc. Everyone needs some positive influence. A person who will listen, offer advice, stand by you when you have bad days and congratulate you on good day.
Next, EAT. Use the tools on this site to figure out how many calories you need. Choose a healthy mix of carbs, protein and good fats. Lots of fruits and veggies, dairy, lean meats, etc. Make sure you're getting enough calories to support the exercise you are doing.
Hope that helps some.

i used to be just like you! believe it or not, i constanly worried about my weight and i weight my self every-day, when i see a rise i would get so depressed that day.
if you are not overweight i suggest u hide the scale somewhere, start eating normaly, excersise regularly and Discover something you are good at and appreciate yourself, remind yourself that as long as you are healthy, nothing matters more than living a happy life.

I think you probably already know the answer, and that is that you shouldn't starve yourself, eat enough so that you aren't hungry but you still have a calorie deficit, and workout regularly. Starving yourself will NOT keep the pounds off for good, in fact it will actually make you more likely to gain weight later. Eating healthy will improve your mood, too.
A little over a month ago I was feeling really depressed about my body sort of like you are. I wanted to change it but dieting would take too long. But you only have two options: eat healthy and exercise, and change your body slowly. Or do nothing and never see a change. I decided to do something, and I was amazed at how fast I could see results. I'm so glad I made that decision. The key to weight loss success is having a plan that you can live with, otherwise you are guaranteed to fail.
Also, it sounds like you should seek support from other people besides your family. Maybe you have friends who can support and encourage you? An online group like this could also help a lot!!

I've actually, as I've said before been dealing with depression since I was 15. (and yeah I mean in the true, diagnosed & tried a million different drugs to treat it for years (which I don't suggest at all btw) I can tell you birdy made a good point, which is what made me decide to jump into this. Some people believe that family always means well no matter what. This is absolutely ridiculous. There's a lot involved in the family dynamic and whether consciously or even sub-consciously, they are people with their own issues & they do NOT do everything out of the best intentions. Often they get used to you being a certain way... filling a specific role in the family & whether meant or not, they can be very resistant to you changing. Even if the change is something very positive & healthy. It's not even uncommon. Sometimes family can even be harmful. I found since I broke away I am a lot better off, health wise. I don't mean I don't talk to them anymore. I just mean I've realized a lot of things & I am not nearly as hurt by the things they say and do anymore. It can take so much to realize & then really get it through your head that they don't have the answers & and there are things you shouldn't take from them. I take things they say (and boy do they say plenty) with a very large grain of salt. It was essential I get that way. Sometimes family is best in small doses.
Well anyway, just so it's said, if you ever for any reason feel like you want to talk to me just pm me. I've been through a lot of crap, I probably would find a lot of what you say very familiar.

I suffer from depression, which I believe is possibly directly related to consciously dieting and STRESSING about it, SO SO much.. message me if you want to talk

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
