Is this enough? How can I improve?

Today I ate more than I have in a LONG time. I feel like I'm finally starting to head in the right direction. Here's what I ate today, do you think this is good? What should I be eating more/less of? I am 17 years old, 5'6" and currently 81 lbs. Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Breakfast: 2 cups Kashi Go Lean with LOTS of berries (strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries), like 3 handfuls of raisins, and almond milk = 600 cals

Lunch: Beef and broccoli from Panda Express (I mostly just ate the broccoli though) and a peach = 200 cals

Snack: Raw mixed veggies (carrots, green beans, snap peas) with 2 tbsp hummus = 100 cals

Snack: Hard boiled egg, a Larabar and 2 thick slices of canteloupe = 350 cals

Dinner: Slice of whole grain toast with 2 tbsp almond butter and an apple = 400 cals

So in total about 1650 calories. I don't really feel full but I definitely don't feel hungry either. I do feel a little nauseous though and lately I have been having HORRIBLE gas. :/

hi:)! first of all, i am so proud of you for eating more AND recognizing that your moving in the right direction! good for you ahah:)! second, you are really really tiny..do you have a recovery team yet? if yes, have you discussed the possibility of going IP? if no, then you really should consider getting a recovery team hun..they help bunches, i guarantee it:)! your meal plan to me looks pretty light (you probably know that already) so i won't bug you much about that..but it does look quite healthy! and healthy is always good, but for now we just need to work on this whole "a calorie is a calorie thing" seeing as calories are something you could really use right now:D. i hope you don't mind, but i've tweaked your meal plan a bit and added in some more foods which will bring your daily calorie total up to 2,000..

Breakfast: 2 cups Kashi Go Lean with LOTS of berries (strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries), like 3 handfuls of raisins, and whole milk or almond milk with a glass of fruit juice on the side = 650-700 cals

Lunch: Beef and broccoli from Panda Express (I mostly just ate the broccoli though) and a peach, with a glass of fruit juice = 300 cals (depends on the juice, but most juices i know of are 100 calories a cup)

Snack: Raw mixed veggies (carrots, green beans, snap peas) with 2 tbsp hummus = 100 cals

Snack: Hard boiled egg, a Larabar and 2 thick slices of canteloupe = 350 cals

Dinner: Two Slices of whole grain toast with 2 tbsp almond butter and an apple = 500 cals (assuming the toast was 100 calories a slice)

Snack: 14 almonds, a banana or basically anything with 100 calories = 100 cals

2,000 calories really isn't even close to what you should actually be getting in right now, but it's a start:)! i highly suggest switching to whole milk products, or even to chocolate/strawberry/banana milk drinks. alternatively if your lactose intolerant i'd just add a glass of fruit juice to every meal and snack. either way, you need calories and doing those things will definitely get you some! other things you might consider doing would be..

a) eating a bedtime snack

b) munching on something like nuts throughout the day (cashews, peanuts and macadamia nuts are my favorite)

c) picking up some dried fruit:)! such as apricots, raisins, prunes, apples, mango, dates..the fiber in these really helps! trust me

d) and investing in a blender for smoothies and milkshakes. liquid calories are a godsend for many recovering anorexics who don't like supplement drinks:)

as to your gas, sorry sweetie that's just something you'll have to deal with for a while..i know it sucks but it should pass in 6-8 weeks when your body starts trusting you again:) well i hope i've helped, and message me if you need anything! take care xoxo

that is a very good start :)

For a quicker recovery (quicker the better to prevent some crazy relapse), increase by 200 every 3 days until you hit 3500 or go higher if you start to lose weight or it stalls. Once you hit a BMI of 20-21 is where you should cut back (dont cut back too much!) to maintain your BMI.

I had nausia and gas during my recovery (my BMI was just as dangerously low so maybe it has something to do with that).  The only way I could describe it is...carbonated cheerios..yick.

But if you end up experiencing vomiting, try switching to lactose free products.  If that doesnt work start drinking things like ensure.  The extra vitamins and minerals will be very good for you.
