Gained Weight after Zoloft

Quote  |  Reply

I have gained some pounds since I have completely stopped taking Zoloft. I have never been this size before. It's very uncomfortable to me. I thought it was a h problem before. But regardless this solid fat has to go. Anybody else have weight gain after stopping a anti-depressant.

I gained while on my anti-depressants, not coming o ff them but I didn't take Zoloft. I still couldn't lose until after a couple-few months off my meds, I assumed to get out of my system. After 2-3 months off, I decided to calorie count (not with he site, it was before I knew about the site), I had such a quick loss at first I feel it was a lot of back up water weight.

This I think I should have taken in consideration before: drinking more water, watching my sodium levels and (inc. TMI) getting my self regular again (meds messed me up harsh that way). Hope this helps :)

This should probably be in the Health & Support section instead of Fitness.

Interesting to bring up because I gained on zoloft and I was on it for 4 years and it quickly came off once I stopped. I know it is an antidepressant and can stimulate appetite. But what I an wondering is if you are suffering from some sort of emotional binge eating?
