laxatives are good at dehydrating your body if they arent needed.

the short answer is no....laxatives will do nothing to help you maintain.  The food has already went through the digestive process.  Save yourself the grief and steer clear from the laxatives.

What will help maintain?  Exercise and eating sensibly

That is called bulimia and NO it is not safe!

Good Nutrition and exercise those are safe. If you want to maintain your weight you are going to have to take some responsibility with your diet and make good choices.

Taking laxatives is the lazy way out!

Where on earth did you get the idea that using laxatives will help with weight loss?  It's entirely untrue.  All laxatives do is empty your bowels.  There is no effect on body fat at all.

Overuse of laxatives can cause your digestive system to stop working right.  You could end up with fecal incontinence, meaning you can't hold it long enough to get to the toilet.  Do you really want to end up in adult diapers?

Don't even thing about doing this!

Laxatives are for people who are constipated.  If you're not constipated and you take them you can trigger all manner of horrible digestion problems.

The healthy way to maintain your weight is to eat a good variety of healthy foods, watch the portions and do some daily exercise.  There are no short cuts and no magic bullets.

DON'T take laxatives. I use to take them all the time. I would throw up everything I possible could then take 15 extra strength laxatves to get what I didn't manage to puke up. First of all, some of the most excrushiating (sp) pain of my life. Honestly, it was bruuutal. Also, you don't poop, you have very runny dirareah and it is disgusting. Also, if you take them long enough you become dependant on them. It maks you tired and weak and dehydrates you. Not to metion it's very gross. Don't do it.

Don't take them! They just make you uncomfortable and feel gross.  I had to take them after having surgery because i was constipated from medication.  It's not fun!

Laxatives do not help you lsoe weight. Once the food has hit your bowels the calories have already been absorbed. they don't do anything but keep you dehydrated. And they can make you dependant on them.

Laxatives are only good for when you can't have a bowel movement. I use to hear about  the girls who was cheerleaders do this in highschool in the early 90's. That don't work. How to lose weight is movement of your body-not movement of your bowels. You will only set yourself up for health problems. You use those things and your body will start to depend on them.. Do Not do this... It's not safe.

Look it up online...

yup, pooping a lot isn't weight control. that's messed up. your talking about meds  for people who's stomach hurt because they can't have a bm. I hate to be so ugly about it but, this is good example of something young girls and unstable people don't need to see and get bad ideas about how to loose weight.

I've actually heard of women dying with ED where the only things in their kitchen cabinets were crackers and laxatives.  The message you got about dieting and laxatives is from a BAD source. You need look into reg. healthy eating instead of tips from whoever suggested taking laxatives.

NOOOOOOOOOO! After taking laxatives for a while I now have an inflamed esophagus/stomach and can't have normal BMs without medicine. Please don't take laxatives to lose weight!

what would be the point in doing this? if you're constipated and uncomfortable, yes take the amount that is recommended. if not..theres NO POINT. it doesnt make you lose weight! it's the dumbest thing ive ever heard.

wanna know something weird about laxatives? i was constipated once and i took 3 of them and it didnt do anything. AT ALL. it was so weird. i didnt take anymore though. i just continued to feel uncomfortable for a few days lol.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
