not losing! no metabolism help!

For 1 month I have been eating vegetables and lean chicken in a salad and fish. I'm eating small portions and trying to eat every couple hrs. I have lost 1 pound. What is the problem? I only drink water. No soda or coffee. Help before I give up! I have a history of bulimia. I'm 43 and want to do it the healthy way now. Haven't been bulimic in 10 plus years. I have a thyroid disorder, but supposedly my levels are fine. I'm walking a half hour every other day, which is tough to fit in with my work schedule but I'm dedicated, for now. Please help!!!

how long have you been bulimia free? the metabolism can take 1 year to return to normal after 2 months to 1 year after eating normally after ED behaviors.

Well since the only info you shared is what you eat and your age, it's hard to speculate why your not losing.

This site can tell you all the info you need to adjust your plan in easy to understand steps.

Have you used the tools to calculate how much you really need? I wonder if you only eat salad and chicken/fish and only drink water if you're getting enough. At least that's what I think when I read your post.

To stay bulimic free you need to eat carbohydrates that do not spike your blood sugars. Stay away from sugar, wheat and flours. You can read Kay Sheppards book The Body Knows and Food addiction. They were very helpful in my journey to conquer boulimia. There is also a food plan in those books. After years of eating it all I'm back at it again and I'm always amazed about how quiet my body becomes when I eat the right things.

If you are not sure if your thyroid levels are find it is time to get new blood work done. Maybe your meds needs readjusting.
