Sweetie you are not fat.. And your friends might be correct, is not normal to that a child your age and weight should be thinking about dieting. You should talk to your parents or grandparents or a school counselor, is very important that you seek help.

thanks! i'm going to talk to my parents later about seeing a counselor and all.

first of all: if you're using a bmi calculator it's only taking in weight index versus what you "should" be. if you're active and fit (as i can tell from your picture) your bmi is perfect. fat and muscle weigh about the same but if all yours was fat it would show. fat is denser than muscle and that's why it's easier to see, it takes up more space. read the link below, sometimes you will weigh a certain amount and be all muscle or all fat. your bmi would read the same regardless.

you're 13, live your life like a kid should. enjoy it and quit worrying about your weight so much. eat right and stay active, that'll cover your bases. go to a dance, go play baseball, go hang at the mall. but you're still growing and until you're all done growing your weight isn't a huge concern unless you're overly obese and as i said above, that would be noticeable. relax, go talk to your parents, and maybe get back into sports.

If you think you have depressed go and speak to your Doctor about it, they might be able to offer solutions. They can give help which is not just medication.

Like it had already been said your 13 go and enjoy your life, you don't need to worry about your weight AT ALL trust me!

Remember everyone dislikes something about themselves and I know being a teenager can be tough! Just relax and enjoy yourself :)

its sounds like you are super active.  you may not be eating enough calories, never eat less that 1200.  but when you are more active you should eat around 2000 calories or more.  when you do not eat enough calories your body goes into survival mode and stores everything.  when you eat enough calories for your activities then your body knows when to burn and when to store.

don't stress over it too much.  i would follow the advice of the others here...get some counseling.  if you can...talk to a nutritionist.

love yourself and love your life :)

best of luck to you.
