Its a dream come true, no period to deal with each month....well not exactly. I am a 26yr old bulimic female and I do not get my peroid anymore. Will it come back ever again.....how did this happen, why did this happen? Is it serious, or is it because I am bulimic? Will I be able to have children?

Unless you seek treatment from a professional specializing in eating disorders, you may very well do damage that can't be fixed. Infertilitiy clinics are filled with women with eating disorders.

i have the exact same concerns. two months into joining this site i lost my period. i haven't had it since december. i'm not blaming this site but i just got so into calorie counting and exercise that my body wasn't used to it. i'm not as strict as i was before with my diet and exercise as i finally reached my goal, but i wonder if my period will ever come back.
Mine comes and goes. When it's been gone for three months, I get a prescription for Prometrium (oral progesterone) from my gynecologist to kick-start it again. I exercise a LOT, and when I hit a certain weight, my period just goes away. My doctor says, "Well, if you just put on five or ten pounds..."
Yeah, okay, um...no.
So. I get the prescription when it goes away. *shrugs*
Do NOT let your period go away for more than three or four months at a time. Long-term effects of estrogen depletion can set you up for osteoporosis later in life. I'm in nursing school, and I'm learning about this stuff up and down.

The fact that your monthly has gone away is your body SCREAMING at you that it isn't healthy. When you are very unhealthy your body starts cutting out extra functions just to survive. It probably isn't too late. I lost my period for over a year when I was Super Morbidly Obese and mine has come back since I have lost weight and become healthy.
Yes, of course it's b/c you're bulimic. And, like everyone else said, sure it can affect your ability to have children. And your health all t/g - the early osteoperosis thing that digdig mentioned. I would recommend seeing a doc right away about it.
