One treat turns into a binging day

Quote  |  Reply

You eat one bad thing,

then you think you've screwed up the whole day,

and therefore you actually do screw the whole day, by binging.

Is it just me?

How can one avoid this, without deprivation.

Moderation is hard!

I have this same problem, it's terrible... I have no will power - when I am craving something I will have either hot or iced tea, or water and see if I stop craving it - if not I take one measured serving out and put everything back in the cabinet or hide it - it helps me putting things away immediately rather than having it there - then I just snack snack snack, also I think it's important to be able to have a treat and not douse yourself in guilt - when I do that I just fall off the wagon all day

I've tried putting things away, but when I've tasted something sweet, it gets hard to get rid of that craving, and so easy to reach for sweets. I've tried drinking tea, though that mostly helps to get rid of a craving, if I've not tasted anything sweet during the day. I'm going to try to measure servings and have small treats, without binging afterwards. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and advice!!
