I started recovery from anorexia a few weeks ago and was going well untill I stopped counting calories and now I binge on half tubs of pb, honey out of the jar, yogurt, cottage cheese, ice cream, cereal , EVERYTHING ! And I can't stop even when in uncomfortably full

Why am I doing this! I am going to get so fat soon!

My stats are: female, 14 5'6 and 110lbs up from 106lbs a month ago!

..

your body is craving fats:) proteins, carbs, sugars..food really. there is no way your getting fat hun! your not even in the healthy BMI range yet..your ideal weight is literally 20 pounds away. that's a lot of weight dear, and even then it'd take another 20 pounds gain on top of that at the LEAST to actually be considered fat. listen to your body, it knows what's best for you:D!

Bodies are funny things. Your body wants and needs food but yet it can't handle the mass quantities that it needs. When I was as underweight as you are, I also binged to the point of feeling physically ill, and I couldn't stop. It seemed like I was going to binge myself to the point of obesity, but then the binges stopped.

Feed yourself enough every day and the binging will stop, really.

oh believe me this is so incredibly normal, it just means what you already know - that you're hungry and your body needs stuff inside it, now!

i know it's hard to believe this but you really need to let go and say **** it.

most important thing is don't restrict later to make up for it - right now the most important thing is to learn to listen to your body. you don't want to be stuck in a calorie-counting, restrict-then-binge cycle forever! :(

Hi sweetie, i know exactly what you mean, i have been in your EXACT position.

No you are not going to get fat

This is just the way your body is crying out for norishment after the torture it has been through, even to the point of you feeling sick, i jave been there

Now the key is to not hold back, and listen to your body because it is smart and knows the best to do. I wish you luck!

So I am supposed to just let go and stuff me face :\ I feel so out of control!
Yes, allow your body want it is craving!

Think off all damage you have done to your body it is just calling out for food!

This happens to everyone recovering, me included! I know how scary it is and I scared myself with the amount of food but trust me it DOES stop and you will feel SO much better. Trust me - just ask any recovering/recovered ED sufferer. Good luck!

Thank you! What about excersize is recovery? Because I like to run a lot and do workout DVDs. Is this a good idea? And how much can I do

Sorry honey, there is absolutely NO EXERCISE until you fully recovered, and even then you should take it slow and mild. the MOST right now is for you to walk around your house or school, your body needs as much rest and relaxation as you can give it.

But I am really fit (I can run 8km in 42 minutes) Doesn't that mean that my body is healthy

sorry to break it to you, but NO it does not mean your body is healthy:(!! like somebody said earlier, our bodies are funny things..do you have your period? no. that's the biggest sign that your body is not healthy. you really need to focus right now on recovering, and that means no exercise, 3,000+ calories each day and getting a very very good recovery team. so please for the sake of your life do NOT exercise (a lot) until your bmi is at the very least 19, maybe even 20:)! oh and here are some quotes from a website about the damaging effects of too much exercise:

"Excessive exercise can damage tendons, ligaments, bones, cartilage, and joints, and when minor injuries aren't allowed to heal, they often result in long-term damage. Instead of building muscle, too much exercise actually destroys muscle mass, especially if the body isn't getting enough nutrition, forcing it to break down muscle for energy."

"Girls who exercise compulsively may disrupt the balance of hormones in their bodies. This can change their menstrual cycles (some girls lose their periods altogether, a condition known as amenorrhea) and increase the risk of premature bone loss (osteoporosis). And of course, working their bodies so hard leads to exhaustion and constant fatigue."

"An even more serious risk is the stress that excessive exercise can place on the heart, particularly when someone is also engaging in unhealthy weight loss behaviors such as restricting intake, vomiting, and using diet pills or supplements. In extreme cases, the combination of anorexia and compulsive exercise can be fatal."

Ahhh! I binged twice today! Somebody please help me I feel like I'm going to pop!

Binging is just a normal part of some people's recovery. It was a HUGE part of mine and something I needed to go through in order to get my body healthy again in the long run. Did it feel good mentally or physically? NO. But I did not get my period back until I hit BMI 28...and believe me, I would never in a million years have gotten to that BMI without binging. Today it's 6 years later and now I'm naturally at a BMI of 19 and still have regular periods. I barely ever binge now and just eat according to my intuition (and I eat A LOT of all kinds of food with everything in moderation...including moderation).
