can i join?? I dídn't see the original post(i am new). But i am quit for about 35 days. Still going strong, though my weight is stuck. but as long as i don't gain(which is still pretty hard) I am okay with it. I still have cravings now and again(maybe once or twice a day) but they are more passing thoughts than really bad cravings. My husband and I quit at the same time so we are eachothers accountability. Had a rough night last friday as I was at a work party and doing a lot of drinking and dancing. But I managed, and the hangover was less rough than normal.

one day at a time......

I have a problem... i am thinking and have been thinking of stopping smoking.. i can easily spend all day at work without having a cigarette but i always seem to fall into the trap in the evening.

My mind and the "little voice" is always too powerful.

Everyone smokes at work so i just stay at the office and avoid them.. all my firends (bar owners) smoke as well ... and always seem to fall into the trap of the "one more"

How to get pass it? I see how easy it is for me not to smoke during the day when working so i think i feel as its ok to have one or 2 in the evening.. i hate this way of thinking.

A friend of mine went about putting the money she would spend on a packet of cigarettes in a jar every time she wanted to go buy some. Eventually, she had enough money saved to go on a luxury getaway weekend with her mum. It might work for some!

CONGRATS!

Im on day 3, i have a terrible headache for 2 days now.. is this related to stopping smoking? I have tried to take aspirin but it doenst do anything.

Day 3 and this sneaky voice inside my head is screaming "I want nicotine!!"

doing great over here! around 3 weeks or so... going strong.. feeling good!

keep it up guys and girls!

Way to go guys! GREAT job! You CAN do it and it WILL get easier!!!!

Yes, the headaches are normal and it will only be another day or two and you'll start bouncing back. Just keep drinking lots of water, get plenty of rest and give yourself a pat on the back for doing something wonderful for your body.
